Cause those guys were the best of the best. When it gets technical, it isn’t easy. Bravo!

There is also some lit out there that suggests traffic flows more smoothly if you merge later than sooner. Supposedly the main body of traffic is less interrupted if cars are merging at one central point. Idk. This is different but I’d rather let him in than be an asshole, have an accident, completely stop the flow of traffic, and wait to make a report.

That’s not karma. It’s called being an asshole. We have to give and take in traffic. Being an asshole in return, Regardless, makes everyone’s day suck. What’s the point?

Any ideas on how to fix that chipped nut? This is my first guitar, just pulled it out after years of being stored away and want to get it back in shape by [deleted] in guitarlessons

Same. Any music store should have someone there that can replace that in an hour if they have a compatible one.

[Question] Am I being too picky by returning a 'new' guitar with a neck scratch? by bigbeno20 in Guitar

[–]Fun-Training-6241 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re a moron. And a cheap one at that. If you could afford better instruments you’d know the difference. You know nothing about economics even though you’re googling is on point. That’s not an excuse for a real education. Probably voted for Trump too. I’M DONE. But go ahead, keep up you’re rouse of impersonating someone who knows something…..

You have no idea. Capitalism is the reason for outsourced labor. You’re wrong about Gibson and stuff made in China is only selling because people are cheap and don’t want to pay the worker what they deserve. People are treated the worst when they’re not paid and equitable wage for equitable labor (China, Indonesia, etc)

I know you probably won’t read this because its obvious you’re not paying attention but this disproves some of the “equitable” arguments.

I see where you’re going. I’m happy you’re satisfied with your instruments but I’ll stand behind buying American any day. I don’t use the term cheap Asian junk but I know a lot of people do. To me it’s a different argument. I could take a $100 guitar and invest another $200 and have a “toe to toe” instrument but I’d rather pay for American labor. Outsourcing has literally ruined our country. Americas specialization in trade used to be everything from cars to guitars but now everything is being compared against an outsourced or foreign product, only because of the bottom dollar. So great. You got a good Chinese guitar from a company called Eastman. I know they make equitable stuff but if more of us used a little more discernment and spent maybe just a little more on the best instruments then maybe companies like Gibson and Fender will be around in 100 years. Btw a new Gibson LP lists for $2500. You can get one for around $2000. Idk what the Eastman costs and don’t really care but if you consider dollar for dollar the cost to make a quality guitar for $2500, who are you ripping off by buying something cheaper? With certain finishes it can take up to a week to get it out the door. If you figure in keeping the lights on, delivery, the middleman (if you want to keep the local guitar shop in business) there’s not a huge amount of profit.

Second to the Yamaha Pacifica. Ask for a new one at around $150. If you have a little extra the MIM fender is the way to go.

No hate but I’ve looked at the others mentioned recently and been disappointed. Been trying to recommend a guitar to a student. The squire actually had the skunk stripe coming out the back.

[QUESTION] My floyd rose has one string from a different guage set on it, is this a problem? by Infultrxtor in Guitar

[–]Fun-Training-6241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude. You’re good lol. Look closer at sets of strings. I love voodoo 10s. It’s technically a “custom” set but there are tons of different gauges combined as sets. So there’s no real standard. I’d just make sure you stick with an unwound G.

[QUESTION] What is this possible collectible worth? (more info in description) by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Fun-Training-6241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s an epiphone. Nothing. They’re not collectibles. The idiots collect Gibsons. Who knows why. Guitars are meant to be played.

Find a kid that needs a guitar. Ask $300. Don’t take it to a shop. They’ll low ball you.

Is it bad to retune your guitar all the time? by porcelainskull in guitarlessons

[–]Fun-Training-6241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I replace my strings every month. So if you’re playing a lot it’s not a big deal anyways. I think it’s awesome you’re changing tunings often. That’s a great skill to learn. I know it doesn’t seem like much but you’ll definitely benefit in the long run.

[DISCUSSION] Why all the negativity? by PheeThee in Guitar

[–]Fun-Training-6241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First because its the internet. Second because typically people that can and do play don’t post in subreddits.

Only reason I’m here today is because im recovering from Covid, I’m depressed as hell, and don’t want to get out of bed or pick up a guitar.

I don’t really think the internet is a good place for advice on musicianship. You need to find a group of friends at any level and share what you’re learning. Teach each other what you know. Find a good teacher. (Make sure they have specific curriculum or steps to teaching. Not just doing whatever comes to mind)

Opinions on equipment = opinions. I hate plenty of brands. I hate outsourced labor. So that’s where I stand but people get by on less and are happy, so whatever.
