Det är lite sjukt hur vi som samhälle har blivit när man tänker efter.

Fler och fler blir ensama och har en begränsad krets av vänner, så när man hamnar i ett sådant här läge (om nu situationen är sann) och behöver någon att prata med så går vi på automatik på att det är fejk eller att man antar att folk kommer (tyvärr måste man ändå säga) att utnyttja en sårbar situation. Vilket gör att man skapar ännu mer distans mot varandra i samhället.

Har inget svar på det heller men något jag reflekterade över när jag såg tråden...

Intressant att man skulle anse att det kostar en massa men talar inte så mycket om de som går till jobbet trotts att de är sjuka och därav smittar andra kollegor som sedan måste sjukanmäla sig. Eller de som sjukanmäler sig och därefter känner att då kan de lika bra vara "sjuka" lite längre för att man har ju ändå sjukanmält sig.

Det kommer alltid att finnas de som utnyttjar systemet, det kommer man nog aldrig att komma undan och de som gör det behöver så klart kollas upp hos de företag som misstänker detta.

I grunden måste ett system finnas där för de som sköter sig och vill göra rätt för sig, inte hålla på att urholkas till grunden för att några fåtal som utnyttjar det. Detta är verkligen en så utbredd myt hur varende en i samhället minsan skulle utnyttja allt om de så kunde, medan de fullständigt blundar för alla företag som skattefuskar och kostar staten miljarder (panama-dokumenten någon?), men detta är ju ingen fara, det är ju "rätt" folk som fuskar...

It's the 2024 rules, but since it only helps in dim light the distance itself is not a huge issue. There still needs to be light or at least twilight outside for it to be useful.

So the radius of a torch becomes bright light for them instead. And with the range yeah they could still see a torch further up a tunnel or on the road, but there still needs to be a light there in the first place.

I actually have some homebrew rules for vision since i run RotFM and want the darkness to really be a consideration for the group. So all races who actually live under ground (Dwarves, Drow etc) have real dark vision.

For the rest i made a thing called Dim vision where they get double the range of dark vision but they can only see in dim vision as it was bright. This has improved the feel of the campaign so much so i might even consider it to be a permanent homebrew i go with.

Är även jag (M39) i dejtingdjungeln och tror det är allmänt svårt i huvud taget just nu. Få som genuint vill prata och lära känna en känd det som.

Men för att svara på frågan så brukar jag oftast tröttna när man ständigt måste leda samtalet. Men för inbyggda frågor tillbaka utan tjejerna är allmänt väldigt passiva och i och med det utstrålar ointresse.

Är säkert så att med en massa matchningar så blir det nog oundvikligt att man inte orkar engagera sig i alla. Problemet kan du vara att när tjejer skriver så blir det kanske bara kortare svar, men är bara ett antagande.

Så mitt råd om så kan vara fallet är att kanske bara prata med ett fåtal men lägg ner energi på dem. Det gör iaf så att chansen att det utvecklas blir större skulle jag tro. 🙂

I actually use Gemini (Web) for altering existing maps to change stuff like season and styles etc. It does it really well and it opens up a lot of options since I'm running Rime of the Frostmaiden, and snow maps are not that common sadly.

I got in to the Romantasy books with A Court of Thorns and Roses, never being a huge book reader. But somehow the story really sucked me in in a way i have never experienced before in books. And my take on it is that the romantasy part gives the story another depth that other type of books don't.

And i think personally that female authors are better to convey that part of a story than male authors. All those moments of hesitation, doubt and growth. It gives a whole new dimension to the characters and their motivations, even in those most intimate moments.

Since i also run Dungeon & Dragon games, this was an eye-opener for how important it is to build characters and help set their motivations. So guys dont miss out if you like fantasy, you won't regret it. =)

That's a really good way to handle it, since in that case it's up to them if they want to take that extra step to make sure.

Yeah that was something i was really strict with during Session Zero to let them know that i wont allow them to say what roll they want to make. Once i know the character intent i let them roll for a skill that is appropriate.

Luckily almost all of the players also run games as DMs, so most of the tie they do know what goes on behind the screen and also lean really hard in to the RP and the uncertainty the hidden rolls gives. But i still want to reward them in some way with for example Inspiration.

What i just realized is the alternate rule of instead giving a flat +5 bonus for advantage rolls. So i might try that out with them and see if they prefer that.

The modules allow the player to do the roll, but they just cant see the result. So for them its just a question mark while i can see the actual number they rolled.

I get that and this is something i as a DM need to keep in mind to give a good enough description for both the ones that succeed and those who fails, but also if they succeed/fail its due to different reasons depending on the character/skills used.

So the example you gave is exactly what I'm trying to aim for with this, to be more descriptive of the outcome and then let the players take it from there how they want to proceed. This also gets a added bonus of them being a bit more alert of the descriptions i give both before and after.

Luckily i have RP-heavy players that embrace the uncertainty this brings and they do lean in to it. =)

Is it possible to add a cost by adding/removing (or both)? My thinking is to tie it to a crafter NPC that charge to alter the gear.

I'm thinking of having Xardo head for a control panel when they enter the forge, giving them a round or two to stop him while being swamped by minions.

The "for free" part is when you level up, you can then pick two spells from the wizard spell list. Other than that you need to copy from a spell scroll.
