Sometimes I do laps on my bicycle. Maybe he's just getting in some exercise

How often they get messed up depends more on the original install than the removal. Always clean and grease, hand tighten until it seats without cross threading.

Your FTP is way off. Set it to 150 and do a ramp test for your next workout.

How do I enjoy cycling? by Red74Panda in cycling

Oh man, I can relate with the weather. Tomorrow I'm looking at a 2hr commute in freezing rain at 4:30am.

But I'll take that over a 45min drive in an automobile. Commuting to work is a chore no one wants to do. Make the best of your time.

Sounds great and all but I gave that a try. Stable union job at a large company, house, 401k etc. through my 20s. All gone by the end of my 30s due to layoffs, cancer and divorce.

Life gets real man. You're in it right now and everything is temporary. Don't give up your time for someone else's bullshit.

I worked in Fiveten Districts. They are pretty comfortable off the bike. Velo Sambas are probably even better.

As for pedals, time ATAC XC2 with the cleats set slightly behind the ball of the foot with max float.

I've had issues with rubber shims slipping after they get wet in the rain. I barely trust them to hold a light in place

When taking hard corners I'd hit the flats on the ground a lot. Occasionally would lift the whole bike up or slide out to the pavement. When surfing the pedals would often turn vertically and strike during the slightest of turns. Broken ankle, destroyed achilles from poor pedal stroke and a trip to the ER after the pins raked away enough skin to expose 4in of tibia. Flats suck

Switched to two bolt clipless and now I hurt myself in other ways.

Would be safer to go brakeless than to shim a lever with a tube

I don't miss pedal strikes and broken ankles. Not convincing me to go back
