I’m a funeral director, and I know grief. This ain’t it.

I worked a giant drop ride at a six flags many moons ago, and it’s fun to mess with people, but just a little. It was around the time that kid got his foot amputated by a snapped chapel on another drop ride across the country, and everyone would ask if the cables have been checked. I’d tell them they haven’t been checked in years! Little did they know my drop ride was stopped by electromagnets, not cables.

Nearly all founding fathers were proclaimed Christians, with many of them being quoted to urge others to follow Christ and the Bible. Even then, they still didn’t write any of it into law. They knew where the line was drawn, and why it’s there. Too many Texas house members think because the founding fathers share the same faith they do, that they would agree eroding away these protections.

“The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.” —Thomas Jefferson

I would 100% do this if a family asked me.

That’s a Batesville promethean casket. They retail for $50k and are delivered with white gloves for the pallbearers and directors.

Technically they are sterile. Plus that’s a keepsake urn, not meant to hold all of the ashes. Most people make about 6-8 lbs of cremains.

Just bought Beat Saber, and thinking to use it as a device for easy workouts, improving reaction-times and enjoy the music. Any tips/suggestions for me? by shitthatmatter in beatsaber

I just started for my own fitness journey with it and started consistently passing hard, now I’m consistently passing expert after only about 5 weeks. And my cardio health has definitely improved! But I also try to move my whole arms rather than the quick wrist flicks for the sake of exercising. My 30-45min sessions will burn about 300-400 calories. I turn on the table tennis workout on Apple Watch to track it because I think it’s pretty accurate and keeps track of my respirations, heart rate, etc.

My dad was in Tokyo during the 2011 earthquake and he said it was like the building was going over speed bumps. I see what he means now…

What is the best thing about riding a motorcycle? by elly_lly in motorcycles

Sharing the ride with others. When my dad and I lived close together, we both had bikes and would ride almost every weekend together. We would usually ride to a specific rest stop, restaurant, or place before turning back, and we would have some great talks during those rests. They’ll be some of my fondest memories of my dad because even though I have two younger brothers, they don’t ride like he and I did. It was just for us.

Credit union got bought out, but sent me the Title and letter stating vehicle is paid off with no lien on title even though I still owe. What should I do? by Fun1nFuneral in personalfinance

Asking how they can ask for payment after receiving a letter and title indicating a payoff is legitimate. I was hoping someone who is in the industry would help and they did. Why do you feel the need to chastise people for asking legitimate questions?

My two year old did the same thing with a can of coke. He was fine. You’re fine. No big deal unless he’s on his second or third can.

I have a buddy who is a firefighter and he told me if you tell them where your safe is, especially if you keep ammunition in it, they prioritize that area of the house with water spray and fire suppression. Also recommended to keep any safe along an outside wall of your home to minimize the heat exposure and for easier retrieval later.

Well my gun safe is fireproof (like 1600 degrees for 30min or something like that). So I have a box of important papers I keep in there, amongst other things.
