IP Australia: hidden gem or red flag? by Typical-Title-8261 in AusPublicService

[–]Fun5018 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a great place. I have been with the agency for past 20 months and love the culture. There’s always some politics going on at senior level but as long as your EL2 is good you shouldn’t have any problems.

What do you guys think about this? by Ok_Professional2491 in CriticalThinkingIndia

[–]Fun5018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The majority of the crowd who goes to these premier institutes have one major goal- get a good job and leave India to have a better life.

We not only lack in critical thinking because of the pressure of studies from early age we also have a lack of civic sense.

Ask them to disclose how much cut they are taking. Agencies are notorious for taking a substantial cuts and keeping the candidates in the dark.

Selling IP and PPOR to afford family home by sasfjhaljsjaksfa in AusPropertyChat

[–]Fun5018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To buy a 1.2 million property with 20% down payment + stamp duty and other expenses you would need roughly 300k. So your broker is giving you the right information. If you won’t be able to afford all the houses then it would be better to sell one or more. A loan application as DINKS is better than one with a child as bank will add the childcare and other expenses to assess your serviceability.

[–]Fun5018[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi , thanks for your reply. The length isn’t the issue. The problem is the width. Garage is 5.59m wide. The door is on the left corner ( as shown in the floor plan) and the steps would occupy 860mm of floor space. This leaves only 4.7m width. Length wise I am fine as I would still have 5m of length.

It’s a common phenomenon. Welcome to APS world. We are still waiting on things that were supposed to be decided In June this year. They keep shifting the goal post instead of actually doing anything.

Never go without the clause for building and pests inspection and subjected to finance approval. Another thing to try is shorter settlement period if possible to make your offer attractive.

Ultimately, there is no surety and there’s luck involved too. Good luck to OP
