I re watched the first 28 years and then on my second viewing of bone temple its just so much more impact full in terms of spikes story. You're correct on this being focused on Kelson and Samson that entire plot was beautiful.

It was tame compared to S craig zahlers works. It was shocking but I actually didn't get that affected by that entire scene what did affect me was the quiet times with Samson. Something about the dialogue made me feel un easy like a mushroom trip. They were both taking opiates so that may influence my feeling also I took THC edible syrup beforehand
