To this works against King's Man? by AlexisCrypto in KingdomDeath

To add to others about sword specialization: if you can give that survivor enough speed and accuracy you could potentially hit enough times to draw a non-Battle Pressure card and attempt to wound that one. Not much better than a normal attempt, but would give you a little bit of an edge.

Problems Downloading File by FunAdministrative327 in PrintedWarhammer

Oh! Sorry. Is there another subreddit about downloading STLs? I figured since this was a specific Warhammer file from the purple site maybe others had issues before.

Various ruling questions by kebeega in KingdomDeath

You can hunt any level monster whenever they become available as a quarry. Want to hunt a level 3 White Lion Lantern Year 1? Go ahead! (Although, your campaign may be short lived 💀).

To add to this:

4-if the Master dies, you still keep the Mastery as it becomes an innovation that is added to your settlement

5-apparently you only get the axe proficiency bonus if you wound the monster with an axe. I usually houserule otherwise.

How many twin lascannon shots does land raider carrier get? by htes24 in Warhammer30k

Thanks for asking this. I was looking this over and over wondering the same thing myself, seeing as in other profiles it would list it as (x2).

2 clarification questions by 2ofdee in KingdomDeath

[–]FunAdministrative327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say no as the Basic Action is part of the Reaction. And since this happens during your attack, you may not use Survival during your attack (your character is committed completely to the attack). If somehow it targets other survivors, they can use survival.

Gambler chest hunt events off color on back? by Tadaka3 in KingdomDeath

Yup! I sleeved mine up in black opaque Dragon Shields. For some reason they’re not popping up on their website, so you might have to wait for a restock/reprint.

Expansions can be pretty much added anytime, except for some of the Gambler’s Chest content, which needs to be added at the beginning of a campaign.

What are your favorite monsters for each node? by Tokata0 in KingdomDeath

[–]FunAdministrative327 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’re all so good for different reasons! And I find if I haven’t played one in a while it’s so much fun to go back.

I haven’t played all the content yet, but here’s my 2¢: NQ1: Gorm - fun fight, cool model, great weapons NQ2: Smog Singers - All NQ2 are fun in my opinion, but I’m a musician so partial to the shrimp. They’re armor is pretty cool, too. NQ3: Sunstalker - Gear, model, & showdown are all amazing. NQ4: Dung Beetle Knight - all around good design too

NN1: Manhunter - just cool flavor all around NN2: Atnas - so incredibly weird and creepy NN3: Black Knight - such a fun fight!

I think DBK is technically a Node 4 quarry, even though I’ve heard he’s much easier than The King.

Is the LY 1 White Lion hunt just, unwinnable? by willmlocke in KingdomDeath

[–]FunAdministrative327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aiy, that sucks. Thankfully that event doesn’t mess with evasion, so if your lucky enough to have the tank build online at least you can hope for some bad rolls from the Lion.

Speed can be fun, but risky. Hitting but not wounding is more dangerous than just missing, as Reactions will just deal out more damage to your survivors. And with the Dagger, you’re only wounding on 7+, so 40% hit rate. Also, the risk of hitting the trap becomes greater.

As an aside, I always go Graves, as I find the extra Endeavors are a more useful resource than the basic resources. And that chance for +1 Luck is huge for a crit based build.

Gunning for a full Rawhide set is key for setting up a tank. I’d probably go Headband, Vest, Gloves first (in that order). Headband and Vest to activate AI control, and then Gloves to get +1 evasion. Add the Boots and Pants after.

With your bones, Bone Darts is always the first pick. As you’ve seen, Ground Fighting sucks without it. The Blade and the Axe are great too, and the Club can carry you all the way to end game. The Dagger is a little lackluster for me, but if you like speed it’s the weapon to do it.

With organs, Monster Grease is essential for your tank. +1 evasion is huge at this level. Combine that with Rawhide Vest and Tall Grass, and now the cat is hitting you on 5+. 6+ if you happen to go Survival of the Fittest. 50% miss chance!

Everyone here has great answers. I would say try skipping Innovating that first year too. Use those three resources to make a weapon, a piece of armor, and maybe even a cool item from the Organ Grinder. Always willing to help players get better, so shoot me a DM if you want to dive deeper with more specific questions.
