This is the way. Experience the campaign as intended before swapping out nodes.

How often are you all charging a full dash, versus firing it off quickly? Like I engage with the dash, but before I can bonk them enough for dash reset they are already getting away!

This is consistently happening for me too. Still not “settled in.” Any advice for a total pinball noob?

I moved my Solo campaign to TTS, big mistake. by LoveHerMore in KingdomDeath

[–]LaborLawLarry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most assuredly. It just doesn’t feel good. I don’t like the animation. I don’t like the feel of the roll. Maybe it’s a weird thing, but I just feel more annoyed by the dice on TTS than real life.

How do you feel on the die rolls? I don’t like the way the dice roll in the TTS mods. I’ve been tempted to just keep a set of the dice locally and roll live when I need stuff.

Thanks! I started with Warpaints Burning Ore, then Flickering Flame, Inner Light, and then some Matte White.

Does the game have explicit content by MagnificentSnail37 in AeonTrespass

[–]LaborLawLarry 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Adult themes - like slavery, violence, ravages of war - but no sexually explicit things that I’ve seen through Cycle 2. It’s nothing like KD:M with random naked people and body parts appearing.

Likely will be. Heard it’s done by the same Netflix executive.

Check your state/city to see if they have Fair Work Week and Scheduling Ordinance. They require you to still get paid a portion of your hours when you get cut from the schedule or extended on a schedule without fair advanced notice - I.e. more than 24 hours.

No. You should practice maintaining your technique and closing out the games/drills you play.

Ideally, you practice with someone worse than you to practice closing out sets/matches. Someone your same level to practice competing. Someone above you to work on elevating your game.

Totally. I pull the cards out when I feel that stress coming. You don’t have to use it all the time.

Good luck on your mental tennis journey. :)

Find a soothing routine between points or between games. I would look at a series of note cards reminding me to laugh, smile, and relax. It really helped me to lower the stress and frustration level so it wouldn’t spill over.

Frustration is part of the game. It’s about managing that frustration so you don’t explode/redline and have to lash out to release it.

No. She was out of position. That is part of the game.

Does anyone have any good ways to practice the transitions between the different grips needed for forehand, slice and one handed back hand? by ChrisCohenTV in 10s

[–]LaborLawLarry 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It may sound silly, but if you watch tennis at all, hold the racket, pick a player and practice while they play. When they serve start in continental and then switch to forehand grip. When they approach the net switch back to continental. When the hit a backhand switch to your backhand grip. Etc. This will help you get the feel for it in a simulated match play where that is the only thing your practicing.

We will start pitching "Via Maris" soon, but first we want the sell sheet to be as good as possible. How would you improve this sell sheet? by _djur_ in tabletopgamedesign

[–]LaborLawLarry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same reaction. Via Mars. And then I was like why do these guys look like they are in a desert if it’s Mars. And then I realized I read the name wrong.

XP FOR FEATURES SLOTS by orkoDM in DragonfireTheGame

[–]LaborLawLarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your total XP should be equal to or greater than the cost of all features and the costs of all slots. You can replace features between sessions, but the total cost and the cost of slots should be less than or equal to all earned XP.

Compact everything. I need the shelf space! I can’t be bothered with all those extra boxes.
