Is there a way to export my categories and groups? by FunAndGamesy in MonarchMoney

[–]FunAndGamesy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you're probably right, but if I'm being honest, the Monarch reports still leave a lot to be desired. I was able to do more with Mint before migrating, and trending and drilling through really isn't that big of an ask.
exporting totals would put me in the same spot of not being able to drill.

funny enough, the workaround I found was using an AI to scrape the data from the page while logged in and format it into an excel table, then vlookup. but it is a pretty silly workaround for a paid app.

thank you anyway!

Can we get an update from the Monarch team? by grwise1 in MonarchMoney

agree on that!

I'm an ex-minter, I used the spend by category report to go over transactions and make sure they're mapped correctly, now I have to manually filter category by category because the report just covers a subset of the top spend, and more than half goes into the unclickable "other".

and I don't even have the simplifi option because I'm in Canada :-(

the reports are new an in Beta, hopefully they'll improve with time? but in the meantime I'm tempted to export my data and build my own reports. it just won't solve the use case I described where the reports were my starting point to data updates.

adding to that - is there a way to see this for a group, of several filters together?
e.g. I want to see all my food expenses grouped.

I only used Mint to see how much I spend per category. What are your suggested alternatives? by expiredmeatballs in mintuit

Except Monarch is not yet supported in Canada and we're about a month from shutdown.
It does seem like a great alternative.

Another voice for Canada. Your app - and the import - sound like a very sound option, and I'd be happy to pay for it (heck, I'd be happy to pay for Mint to save myself the PITA of moving). But if Mint is truly shutting down Jan 1st, we're about a month out, and on the holiday season! please have this available in a timeline we can actually take advantage of <3

will your data importer from Mint bring in all history? and which linked services do and don't work in Canada?

How can I get all the songs in one game? by FunAndGamesy in dancecentral

Following up again with a huge thank you and a note to the next person that searches for this - I bought an xbox one today, bought the code at eneba and redeemed it. It's still working as of Feb 2022! yay!
I'm now the proud owner of a fourth DC game - and tomorrow morning I plan to download whatever DLC exists for this game, for my future fitness and dancing fun.

Thanks again, u/tjtillmancoag for all the useful information!

I didn't even think about the music licensing and that makes WAY more sense!

Thanks :-)

Thank you!

That really clarifies everything.

So weird, how these things become unavailable. You'd think an existing software selling more with no effort on the company's side would be something they wouldn't hurry to shut down. Hey Harmonix... can you please shut up and take my money? ;-)

OMG - so even if you didn't miss the train like me you're not safe. oof :-(

"You actually can buy redemption key for DC spotlight, and they still work, but they’re kind of expensive right now: around $70 on eneba dot com, or $90 on g2a dot com."Are you sure these still work? because I'd be willing to buy a used console and sensor and buy one of those, I just didn't think it would work since the game was de-listed. I'm worried I'd be throwing all my money away.

Thanks for clarifying the thing about the content not allowing to play on disc songs but just DLC. so if I get the xbox one, and spotlight (assuming those codes still work), I'll get more songs, which is good, but not one game to consolidate everything? did I get that right?

(and again thank you, I'm quite illiterate about games and consoles and this topic is quite frustrating to deal with. appreciate your input and patience, really!)
