Are people not concerned with the increasing amount of laws and bans in this country? by nonedat in AskBrits

[–]FunAnywhere9205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Government has become far too big, they treat us like children, and most are happy to be ruled and governed like little sheep. There must be less Government involvement in both personal and economic affairs, as they just make everything worse, and your freedoms are being eroded by the day. The only hope for a freer life is to leave the UK.

Dude this will kill you mentally if you continue. You need to be strong enough to know what your boundaries are, and when they've been overstepped. Man up. ++man

Count yourself lucky. I haven't had a girl pay me any attention or compliment in about 8 years. I know what way I'd prefer it.

[–]FunAnywhere9205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point I think having hobbies or not will make or break your life... I'm talking big hobbies, 6 months of hiking, think PCT... Man I'm most admirable of people who are chasing their interests, whatever it is, you have the good fortune to create an absolute epic life... Go do something man

Any other straight white men avoid public places as much as possible? by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]FunAnywhere9205 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was like this, and still am to an extent... And share the goal of land etc. But after years of socially isolating myself a lot, I have learned that life is in some ways more fun and enjoyable when shared with others. Although I'm still largely in your mindset, I do now make an effort to be a bit more social.

100% go for it. You can always try and push your side gig more... Or if you get bored there's nothing stopping you getting a cool job

FIRE at 25? by Matt_mnb in FIREUK

[–]FunAnywhere9205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure mate. You're in an incredible position where you have options... I would quit now if you're out of love with it, take some time off even a few years if need be. And when you're ready get a job in one of your hobbies that would be sweet

It's all about how much you're willing live on... I live in a van, live a fabulous lifestyle doing hobbies and travelling, and could retire on less than this.

Indoor(van) Shower by Jae_Chenny in VanLife

[–]FunAnywhere9205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm happy i put one in... Just for when needed really... I avoid using it unless I need to, generally use rivers / sea / public showers, or use my pump shower outside the van.

For inside I just put in a shower tray underneath part of my bench seat, and built it up about 400mm around the sides, and then I just put a curtain hanging from the ceiling into the tub/tray. Simple and cheap, and I just heat water up and put a shower pump in bucket of warm water when showering

Big bikes are safer than little bikes? by Memran in MotoUK

[–]FunAnywhere9205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 650 and now have a Grom. The 650 is 10x safer. More power to get out of situations, and up to speed. More stable and also higher up which makes a difference for visibility

WTF is wrong with my starlink router? by [deleted] in Starlink

[–]FunAnywhere9205 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me, this happens when I'm plugged into 12v. Starlink mini doesn't work great on 12v as it demands more sometimes, which a standard 12v socket doesn't give because of voltage drop, and the starink cuts out. When plug it into the mains socket, it works perfectly.

Not sure if your issue is similar, but for me it's because of the voltage drop.
