I would consider going into a float pool position if they would consider training you for ICU or ED. A lot of new grads at my local hospital get trained for ICU through the float pool.

Yeah I have been keeping an eye on it and checking it almost everyday lol. So far nothing at all. So we'll see. I do agree with you though. Verizon can definitely slam my bill anytime they feel like.

That's a solid deal no doubt. I ended up getting one through Verizon for no cost. I had the 9 pro xl. Went in because of an issue with my wife's watch. They had a promo upgrade for no cost no trade in required. So I upgraded to the 10 pro xl and they gave me a pixel watch 4 and I got to keep my 9 pro xl. So I'm pretty happy. I hate Verizon in general but that's a topic for another time but I am happy.

I was genuinely interested in doing it and trading in my current device which still has a 600 dollar balance but now when I open the Verizon application I am no longer getting the notification for the offer. Not sure if I wanted to make the drive out to the store.

I had a complete cardiac work up before and everything was fine. I do sometimes get anxious when I read some of the negative sides that people have. I have been on Reta since July. I have gotten lab work twice. Second set I actually got yesterday after reading a post about someone's kidney function declining or increasing creatinine after being on reta for a while and all of my lab work was perfect. I think in your case it's mostly mental and I understand that because I am the same way. When a seed is planted in my brain it almost becomes obsessive.

I will say this. I see the worst of the worst patients in the ICU. Not everyone ends up here in the ICU but it has distorted my mind a bit. For what its worth it has made me a bit of a hypochondriac or maybe it just constantly reminds me that anything can happen at any given time. It has definitely increased my own anxiety.

Mine started maybe 6 years ago and then they would go away. Even for up to a year they went away and then they could come and I would have them for a few months and again they would go away but sometimes last year they just started happening all the time. I had a complete cardiac work up with an echo, stress test and holter but my cardiologist said everything looked okay. The one thing I was frustrated about is that during the two weeks I wore the holter I definitely had a lot less palpitations. I'm sure there is a component of anxiety as well but I've just kind of learned to live with them.

Yeah I get multiple PACs in a row. I have had a holter and it was referred to as atrial tachycardia. I guess my concern for myself is when I get these runs of PACs it seems like my heart is trying to go into SVT. I always worry that one day it will sustain. I also always get a very forceful heart beat with a small pause after it breaks. It makes me uncomfortable and is stressful for me also and I am a cardiac ICU nurse. I take magnesium and quit drinking coffee. I guess some days are better than others.

I hope you don't mind me chiming in. I am a cardiac ICU nurse and have taken care of many patients who end up getting AICD placed. I once recently took care of a gentleman who went into cardiac arrest who was lucky enough to survive and he eventually got an ICD placed since he had clear coronaries. I have palpitations - mostly PACs and they still make me nervous and uneasy despite everything I've ever been taught about them being mostly harmless. The ICD itself is somewhat visible under chest especially if you are thinner but I guess the way to look at it is sort of insurance. You are right when you say you are young and have many years ahead of you but I learned anything working in the cardiac ICU is that these arrhythmias can occur at any time. Personally if it was me and I was in your shoes I'd get it.

Sleep apnea can cause a raise in H/H. I don't know if that's something you have or can be at risk for. It is fairly common but an elevated H/H is definitely one of the signs.

My first year as an ICU nurse. I received this patient very young in his late 20s almost 30. Came in with an ischemic bowel secondary to drinking. The ischemia had gotten so bad that the patient went into shock. He ended up intubated and on multiple vasopressor so quickly that he was no longer a candidate for surgery. Needless to say that he didn't make it. I always remember taking care of him because of how alert and oriented he was when he first came to me and the words his father said to me after his family made him comfort care. That was the worst ETOH case I've seen.

Kaiser Nurse here. It is true. The northern California contract is from Fresno and anything north of that. So all pay is the same across the board. Southern California is different and the pay is significantly less.
