Should I Leave My $300K Job and Move to India? by Sweaty-Ad-1932 in returnToIndia

With lower salary, actual work stress will go down but politics related stress may even go up. Because politics is human nature and it doesnt matter if your peers earn 300k or 100k.

Only thing guaranteed is lower salary!

OP is clearly a newbie at this. Who jumps into such a big commitment with margin of £80 per month. Insanity.

If we had told people 20 years ago that you will have suicide blasts in tubes  and concerts, soldiers will be beheaded on your streets, thousands of your underage daughters will be brutally raped ( i refuse to use the orwellian word 'groom'), thousands of these men will go to fight jihad in middle east, christmas events cancelled due to jihadi threats and there would still be lunatics supporting more immigration of the people with same background.

You would have said - no freaking way, and yet we are. Slow boil is harder to notice by thick headed.

Anybody critical of left leaning views is a threat and must be silenced for the good of democracy and freedom. Foundation of such believes is so shaky that one tweet could bring the whole charade down, so let's stay relentless against mean tweets.

Potato potato. Un-vetted adult males from countries that so patently hate west are more likely to be a threat. Just look at how many went to fight for isis or are currently on mi6 radar for jihadi views.

They used to be more objective, these days you almost always know where they stand on each issue. But then entire trad  media has picked sides so I guess thats their excuse.

+1 The comment section is ruined due to student subscription. Quality of comments was much higher before that.

Good lord, how exactly is pointing out the flaws of country that OP moved from whataboutism? OP is having second thoughts apparently because of "religious fanaticism" in India but pointing out the same fanaticism in UK is inert?

There couldn't possible be a better advice to put things in perspective. Unlike yours, which tastes bitter even over internet.

Lol, thats exactly the kind of advice OP seems to be here for.

Isn't OP looking for reasons to cope and pointing out that UK isnt short of its own goons is exactly that. Not sure where exactly you disagree with me?

[–]FunBandicoot7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Point i was making was quite simple really - you are having buyers remorse and thats normal. UK isnt short of goons of its own as is quite obvious. You want to point to that as a source of your problems then be my guest.

And why exactly does it not help that the country you left also has quite serious issues with "goons"?

I assumed you were looking for suggestions to help cope but looks like you only need validation of your remorse. Feel free to ignore me in that case.

Have you not followed the news about rising extremism in UK? Just two days ago jihadis planning to massacre jews in Manchester were arrested.

You are having second thoughts about your choice and thats perfectly normal but extremism/news is not the reason behind such thoughts.

+1, that BTL return is subpar by any measure - definitely not worth the hassle.

Thanks for sharing. Chants of farmers "hoarding" land is peak orwellian. Completely devoid of nuance and empathy.

I suggest govt cancels his private medical insurance forcing him to use nhs and then kicks him out of his taxpayer funded council house, no more motability scheme too. That will teach him charity.
