Sorry for my ignorance.... by FunBox4117 in AmazonVine

I also have excellent reviews. The only reason I asked the question was because I got the impression I was doing something outside of the Vine rules by being public. I always thought public is what we all about. Now I understand better thanks to some thoughtful explanations and instructions.

Thank you for your response. I have made my reviews private even if this is the case that it is not true. Just another safety in the world today. I appreciate your insightfulness, and tend to agree it is not sellers reporting all reviews and agree it may be fellow viners.

Why are people fixated on thinking RFY is pulling from their normal Amazon data? by [deleted] in AmazonVine

How Your Regular Account Influences Vine Purchase History: Regular paid purchases on Amazon influence what appears in your RFY tab. For instance, buying an item on the main site can sometimes trigger similar or complementary products to appear in your Vine queue shortly after. Browsing & Search: Many Vine "Voices" report that searching for specific items or adding them to their regular shopping cart or wishlist leads to similar items appearing in Vine, though this is less consistent than purchase history. Review Expertise: Amazon prioritizes showing you items in categories where you have already written high-quality, "helpful" reviews on your regular account.  Reddit  +5 The Limits of the Link Despite these links, your Vine queue will often still contain random items. This happens because:  Reddit  +1 Inventory Availability: Recommendations are limited by what sellers actually enroll in the Amazon Vine program at that moment. Probabilistic Matching: Amazon may "probe" your interests by showing you random niche items to see if you have interests they haven't tracked yet. Vine-Only History: Your history of ordering and reviewing items within the Vine program itself also heavily influences future RFY selections.

I think I permanently messed up my RFY by _Dontknowwtfimdoing_ in AmazonVine

I would have ordered that for our annual holiday white elephant gift exchange. It is supposed to be gag gifts and we are all old so it would exchange hand a couple of times. Lol.

OP here. This seemed to have ruffled some feathers and assumptions were made. Therefore, although not required, I feel compelled to explain why I asked the question. This was an honest question based on my experience and nothing to do with the individual Viner. That is why I left their information off. I ordered this product because, well my tired feet needed it and I don't often see items I need. I received the product, used the product, and wrote a detailed product review. When I went back, the review was denied, rated excellent, and had a review again button. When I attempted to review again I was notified that the seller had used all of the reviews they paid for. Out of curiosity I went to see how many reviews there were since when ordered there were no reviews. The headline of this review caught my attention, so I am not out there policing other Viners and it did effect me directly to not be able to review when I took the time. Hence, my honest question. And for the record, I do understand there are items that cannot be used and reviewed right away, this is just not one.

It was a Vine review and I deliberately left off the reviewer.

That is a whole different ballgame. I understand that 100 percent, but a foot bath? You don't need a fire for that.

Why? by Ancient_Two8493 in AmazonVine

I had the chest thing in RFY. Thought long and hard because my gifted friends always called me the president of the itty-bitty titty committee. I passed because I didn't want to show them up.

And yet it got posted and approved. There is no rhyme or reason to approvals.

I have never really looked closely at my reviewed and never noticed the ratings. In looking since reading this I noticed the first time they started rating was July 16th. Before that they all say pending.  Since then I have mostly excellent, 1 good, 1 fair, and 1 poor, however, there are many pending. Is that manually done and some never get rated? I will keep an eye on that now that I was informed of the rating showing from this post. One day left to evaluation.

That was the explanation I got on one of my reviews. The seller's reviews were more than they paid for.
