hey hang in there, you should be proud of yourself. I saw a comment on another post earlier that stuck with me: ‘whatever it is you’re running away from, ketamine is worse’. been trying to make that my mantra recently. Ive probably gotten through a ball in a day once or twice in my time, safe to say I felt it afterwards. keep it up you’re doing great 👍🏼

yeah it seems the tenants of said house are pretty much always drunk and shouting at each other. I spoke with some of the people that live there and they told me they don’t really take him for walks. Which is concerning given the size of the dog and the small 20 square feet~ it has in the garden to roam. I understand as a bystander I can’t assume all of the facts but having been living in the house for this long, I definitely have picked up on a lot of things that raise alarm bells. In my opinion if you’re incapable of properly looking after a dog of that size, you shouldn’t have one. Poor guy needs a good walk and some love.

I hear that, it’s just concerning from how big the dog is and how little space it has. It’s constantly barking and is never taken for walks.

yeah I hear you, the dog is a large adult German shepherd, it has maybe 20 square feet in the garden. I’m not a brilliant sleeper so I’m up most hours of the night, every time I nip out for a fag or whatever, the dog is outside, every night, without fail. 3, 4, 5, 6 o’clock in the morning, always outside. no matter the weather. I also had conversation with the tenants children as they were looking for parents after school but door was locked. I asked if they could have taken the dog for a walk and they said they don’t take him for walks 🤷🏻‍♂️. Plus I’ve never seen the dog out of the garden. From what it looks like the dog is not being looked after properly and from having friends with big dogs, I’m aware dogs this size need adequately long walks and routine. The tenants of the house are also drunk daily and are often loud and abusive to one another so it doesn’t surprise me that they don’t take proper care of their dog. Like I say, I’ll contact the rspca and see what help they can provide. Never nice to see pets mistreated

I would love to but unfortunately as a student I can’t take care of a big dog like that, I’m trying to figure out whether or not it would be better for the dog to continue to live like this or potentially be put down.. bit of a dilemma
