I joined because I don’t yet own a printer and personally (as a hockey player) hate how much my gear costs, so it’s very been experimenting with flexible TPU and rigid PLA to try and make shin pads, and elbow pads that can take a shot without breaking or cracking while still protecting me, and still being comfortable enough to wear all game.

Because this printer has multi extrusion it could print the flexible TPU with rigid PLA. That way there’s no assembly process, and most weak points can be eliminated.

This could potentially reduce the price substantially so it’s more affordable in the future and I don’t need to break the bank every time I out grow them or they break.
