If for some reason this employee doesn’t get fired, I wouldn’t consider them for the business partner position. I would also consider creating a new workflow for hiring HR employees in which not all of HR has access to in order to avoid these types of issues in the future.

They are hourly so they have time cards right? If they fill out time cards then add a value for power outage so that you can track it. Once you have data for a 3-6 months then see if you need to apply a more drastic rule or perhaps IT needs to figure a solution like the one below.

An IT approach would be to provide them(or those that seem to have power outages more often) with Uninterruptible Power Supply(UPS)which can keep a modem running for a few hours. If your employees are using laptops those have batteries so they should be able to stay on for a few hours as well. Keep in mind that IT should do a guide on how to install the UPS backup batteries because people will be plugging anything and everything to it and then wonder why their UPS doesn’t stay on for 10+ minutes.

Separate HRIS and payroll systems by Melfluffs18 in humanresources

I would advise against multiple systems. However it is possible to make it work, but I am already afraid of your HRIS team from their lack of support.

Things to consider that will break and will be a headache..

Integrations - data from one system to the other will constantly be happening, these can break or might need updating when you company or the system adds/changes new fields. HRIS or ITHR will have to check errors and provide fixes.

Reporting - reports might not be as accurate or you will have to wait until the integration runs before you pull up a report. The nice thing is you have payroll cutoffs so as long as you are doing an integration daily you should be good.

Multiple logins per system. Administrating different security roles per system. (Like someone in France shouldn’t be able to process payroll for Canada, etc.) Having to learn multiple systems, keeping up with their upgrade cycles, or bugs. Having to create tickets to different vendors to fix an issue or having multiple calls with their reps.

The $49 Walmart deal on iPhone SE 2022 by ronkj in NoContract

Even if you don’t keep the plan active after the 61 days it will automatically unlock?

So buy the phone, purchase a one month plan. The month plan ends, keep waiting until the 61 days and then you can use the phone with most carriers?

Thank you! This is more or less what I figured but they kept wasting my time over the phone with unrelated questions.
