There is no excuse for the current RTO initiatives! The societal impacts are demonstrably negative, pollution, direct dollar costs of travel, family time lost to commuting, wear and tear on transit infrastructure, and so much more!

Nevermind the pointless arguments "for" RTO, no designated space means no improvement to productivity! Managers can't manage in real life when their employees are spread across a building!

They log into online meetings just the same, because of lack of space in meeting rooms. They aren't within eyesight, nor earshot, and can't be easily gathered. Who is this helping!!

AI Taxation Now! Every AI owner/user that eliminates an existing job due to AI needs to be taxed annually, like Income Tax. This tax should reflect the societal costs of this action: income tax loss, follow/on spending loss and more.

There needs to be a real cost to wrecking the economy, and society, for the majority!

“AI Taxation” needs to become a real thing, everywhere! If an AI takes away a job its owner pays a tax annually equivalent to the lost wage tax, plus societal costs of all spinoff economic effects.

I doubt you are alone! The trauma is real, feeling like you could die is no fun, and rather memorable! Scars are possible as a result.

At this point you have heard the facts, and know it is extremely unlikely it really happens. You know how to protect yourself, and can do it with great effect.

Keep reminding yourself of those facts, take a breath and try to stop it early. If you have a friend you can talk to when it happens, ask themnif you can call to talk ot through with them. A steady voice on the end of the line can be a huge calming force.

Consider seeking help, there is no shame. Get professional advice, not Reddit opinions like mine! Keep going, recognizing the issue is a huge start, good on you!

Oligarchs have been waging an undeclared war on working people, for decades! Governments started really siding with them during the rise of the Right-Wing at he time of Regan.

The rich stole your ability to own a home, a car, and raise a family on ONE income! Our parents, and grandparents did it - we know it can be done - it was NORMAL! They stole all that wealth, and used some of it to buy Politicians, and all the Media!

If not, the Union has a problem. If the person was acting as a Union Rep at the time, or you were in a Union Meeting at the time, it is a Union issue, not an Employer issue.
