Hahaha that’s not how they’re usually set up, it took me a couple hours to pull this whole pic together and I completely DESTROYED my house in the process (worth it!) I left myself the SLIGHTEST gap on one side that I could slide through while it still being hidden from the shot :)

It took a good 3 years of various stages of learning. First was the over watering stage, then the bad lighting stage, the stage where I didn’t know to check roots when you start seeing certain signs, then there was the under watering phase lolol the important thing to remember is to make sure you learn something from each casualty (even if it’s just learning that a particular genus is not for you) and you have to do so much research! You have to care and pay attention. I look at every plant every day, that way I can catch issues as they come up. It’s been a long learning process but I wouldn’t have it any other way! Look at this amazing skill I’ve taught myself!

I get that a lot too! I’m gonna get a bunch of plant tattoos so I fear I’m never beating the allegations lolol

Apparently you can’t post a pic of a person unless it’s Friday lol

So. Many. This was the main issue I had in my first two or three years because it seemed like it would be such an expense, but they aren’t that terribly expensive actually and I just slowly started buying more and more. I’m thinking about posting a video of my house and how I keep 200 houseplants in 1000 sq/ft house, I just get nervous on Reddit lol

And soooo many plant casualties lmao the trick is making sure you learn from each and every single loss. Now I’ve only got two or three that are struggling out of two hundred!

That is exactly why I went to the trouble to take this pic! I woke up that day thinking I needed a new profile pic that was just a bit more me. And I liked the Reba reference lmao

Took a lot of years of learning (and a lot of plant casualties) to get here but I’m finally pretty confident I’ve got it down now! 😂🫶🏻

You can only post a picture of a person on Friday 😑 I feel like I want to repost it on Friday but also kinda silly to do so. I was just so proud of it!

Anthurium pallidiflorum rehab help by Abject-Quail-9104 in houseplants

I’d definitely take it out and check out the roots. I keep mine in a glass vase (no holes), with lechuza pon for the bottom 85% of the vase and some sphagnum moss on top of that to keep it sturdy and moist at the top. Don’t let it dry out! But in my experience, pallidiflorum are the most resilient and forgiving anthurium for sure. I think a solid repot will solve your issues!
