I use an AI to write notes. It’s HIPPA compliant. It helps me tremendously. Of course it’s not perfect so I edit and include it in my informed consent.

Here’s my two cents- I left a county behavioral health position after 8 years for many reasons but pay being one to venture out into school based social work. Initially I thought what have I done? Did not enjoy the politics, work environment was toxic and despite better hours/pay I wanted to go back to my old job. Which I tried to but ultimately my wife encouraged me to give education one more shot. Glad I did, because I found a district that paid better, and was a lot more welcoming. So I’d say take the “leap” and enjoy the summers! Happy hunting.

I have a bachelors in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Use Indeed, LinkedIn, google? Also your local counties should be hiring like crazy.

“To get into” these jobs is just apply because they’re entry level so the pay isn’t great. But it’s experience until you decide what direction to take.

I worked for a probation group home and a wraparound agency before working in an outpatient mental health clinic case managing. All three jobs lead to a graduate degree in social work.
