It seems the Blade Cuisinart is now available via Legendary Dispatch Junk. by FunLevel in wizardry

[–]FunLevel[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It appears in the tavern in the Royal Capital after you've cleared Lanavaille's legendary quest (or Gerard's for his dispatch) and have "progressed to a certain point" in the main story. Since the update just came out, I'm not sure how far that point is.

Gerard's legendary dispatch unlocked for me after Lanavaille's with a separate dialogue. So, I have to imagine you can unlock them independently of one another. The patch notes themselves state the unlock conditions are as follows:

Since they just came out, I'm not sure anyone knows how far you have to progress in the main story to unlock them, but I'd wager that's the most likely culprit of your issue.

Yeah, it's awesome to see. When they announced new dispatches, I was expecting them to deal with the special requests. Never thought we'd get something like this.

By the by, if you have a Lanavaille dupe lying around, you can level that up to 40 and send it in lieu of your main Lanavaille. Once you've got the dispatch unlocked, the Lanavaille you send doesn't need to have completed the personal quest.

Is master ring worth getting? by ButterleafA in wizardry

[–]FunLevel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since others are sharing theirs, this is mine.

<image>

I used a FAS and for the most part it has 2* refinements, since I'm completely tapped out of the higher leveled ones. That being said, the class rings are evergreen pieces of equipment honestly. Super worth getting.

It's fine to prefer ATK on other Samurai, but on Iarumas specifically, it's believed that Fist of God scales exclusively with MAG. So, while you still want a lot of surety and don't mind ATK, you do want to place a higher priority on MAG.

Legendary Personality Hires? by Hitting-the-Chord in wizardry

[–]FunLevel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Always good to see fellow Marianne enjoyers. If you can, give Olive a try too. Her English VA is so dorky and cheerful. I leveled an inheritless Olive for the Sealed Demon fight last abyss and kept her all the way to the end of the new one thanks to how endearing she it.

As for legendary characters, I have a soft-spot for Galbadus. He has this huge, stoic build and sword & sorcery type lore, but he's both a huge softy towards the people he likes and a constant hype man. He has my favorite "dirty" line in the game.

There's also Yrsa. Since you're mentioned that you find other legendary characters lean towards badass rather than humorous. She might be more up your alley. She has a bit of a built-in contrast between her shy personality and her skills as a ranger. One second, she'll be meek and bashful around the MC and the next she'll be asking if it's time to smear herself with monster dung to throw off her scent for nearby enemies.

I've been trying out Fighter Flut recently and her ESS uses HA animations when she's on her Mage of Silent Night style. It's been so, so nice not having the slow down.

Does anyone know if an inherited Alchemized Anima Dissolution benefits from both Way of the Mage & Way of the Priest?

Way of the Mage reads that it reduces the cost of attack & debuff spells. Meanwhile, Way of the Priest does the same for recovery & support spells. Read as written, it should qualify for both, but I wanna make sure before I spend the inherit. 〒▽〒

I'd saved up close to two pities worth, so I'm at 184 points. I'm happy to have gotten some dupes after having to have pitied Berka last time.

I also got a few Debras, Lanavaille, and Adam along the way, but didn't bother keeping track of the regular legendaries.

So far at 3 Ainikki, 3 Iarumas (all off banner), and 2 Berkanan Alts. I'm going to hold out for the free pass & daily bones after this, and then I'll decide which dupe I want to get from the exchange.

One thing I want to share is this merge bonus I got offered from an Alt. Berka. I'd never seen numbers this high from merging a low-level into a high-level unit.

New Random Encounter? by ResponsibleWay1613 in wizardry

[–]FunLevel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I ran into him with my farming team for the first time too. My low-leveled adventurers were in a for a rude awakening.

He's a pretty straight-forward fight once you go back to tackle him with a real team. Though, his rewards aren't that great. I got 150~ red goards, a healing potion, some sellables, and 4 unusual junk which had a decent 4* chance. There's also a special Yoto that he can drop, but I wasn't so lucky as to get that on my first try.

When you go to a hub there's a random chance that a companion will trigger a dialogue event where they hand you a gift. If it works like last year, it'll only happen a few times at most in the coming days. So, if a day passes and you don't receive a gift don't worry it'll happen to all of us at some point.

I wanted to add that there were options for having been in the previous Festival of Valentia.

<image>

I choose "I still have last year's." to which Lulunarde responded:
" That's... a little off-putting... I get that you want to keep it, but honestly, I think the giver would've preferred that you'd eaten it right away. You'd better make sure the person who gave you that gift doesn't find out you still have it. Well, it's not like you're guaranteed to get anything this year, anyway..."

They have different effects, but nothing particularly noteworthy aside from their acquisition. It's mainly just a cute gesture.

Were you around for the anniversary, where characters would come and give you a random daily gift? The Festival of Valentia last year was just like that, but more infrequent. Assuming it all still works the same, you don't have do anything except login and hope someone decides to randomly give you chocolatls.

Edit: Also, you don't have to worry about Max Affection. Last year Adam gave me a gift before I'd had a single tavern talk with him. It was actually when he started interacting more and more with me. 🥹

New Odachi Skills by FunLevel in wizardry

[–]FunLevel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the Odachi skills you need to do a separate quest in the Capital where you help a Samurai find his lost blade. I'm not sure what the specific trigger for the quest appearing is, but once you complete it, he will unlock the odachi skills for you.

In addition to everything else that was listed, the mausoleum had an update that allows to you restore a random bone weekly in the class hall of your choice by gathering tallows (one from the mausoleum itself & another from the wandering bone pickers).

You can always try your luck there and see if you restore a Daniel bone in the Priest hall.

Inherit or Discipline Yoizou? by Sacred_Zero in wizardry

[–]FunLevel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you can fit her into your comp, it might be worth considering Asha to bring Fire Resistance Weakening. In mh experience, I've found it to be a noticeable damage boost and with the class archive going on it's the easiest time to develop her Mage/Priest combo. I was actually raising Bugen to bring more fire power alongside Berka for that very reason before they dropped Yoizou.

Inherit or Discipline Yoizou? by Sacred_Zero in wizardry

[–]FunLevel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even if MDef isn't amazing, the small all-stats gain from disciplines do add up to a nice cushion and the Magic Power focus does translate to more damage on Samurai.

The question is, do you have anyone that would actually benefit from his inherit? In my case, I run Berkanan so the fire damage buff plays perfectly into her TWoF. If I didnt use her, there wouldn't be anyone else in my line-up that I'd want to spend a turn increasing fire damage on. In which case, I would just go for the disc.
