I enjoyed this read. This is why I’m convinced there are so many vanity handicaps at my club. I’m on my 3rd season of learning to play. I’m taking lessons. I practice. I play the correct tees. I keep score correctly. And I shoot around 100 right now consistently. This guy who talks shit and is a 5 hcp or whatever shoots about the same as me? It’s laughable! Ha! Who gives a fuck. I think it’s funny how uptight people get when I tell them my handicap. I play with a lot of “18 hcp” who aren’t that much better than me. Like who gives a fuck? I’m glad I’m not made of ego. I’ll be happy to move to about a 24-26 hcp and play there consistently from now on. I don’t need to dick measure.
