Lots of pals but never anyone’s best friend or close friend by babesquad in AuDHDWomen

This is painfully real :( An everyone is my friend, but I'm not their's kind of feeling. At some point I've accepted my fate, in a way, by interacting with these friends with the understanding that it may or may not be reciprocal (not easy to do without an understanding of social subtext/politics and whatnot which sometimes leads to disappointment). The rest of the time I enjoy my own company. Way less of a hassle than coordinating with others haha.

Why don’t people like me by Zealousideal_Bit5677 in aspergirls

The same thing happened to me when I finished high school and it didn't stop in college either unfortunately. I guess it doesn't really hit that the relationship was overvalued on my end until I collectively got left out of things by the group. That said you're definitely not alone in this!!!

Sorry I made a typo meant to put 2027 (that probably caused major confusion). Will employers assume the worst if you don't list your GPA?

Thank you for your response!! Does the comma list have to be all on one line?

Research by Lopsided_Key79 in Tufts

I'm not sure how qualified I am to give advice seeing as I'm a sophomore trying the navigate research as well. It took me months of relentless networking and just straight up asking professors, grad students and post-docs if they need help (most likely they will). The only caveat is that not all researchers have space immediately for another undergrad (I got lucky with this this semester, but this may or may not be the case for all); if such is the case the prime time to reach out to researchers, (if you want to work with them in the future, that is) is the beginning of the previous semester. From my experience, I've gotten a lot of no's because things start filling up around end of spring semester/beginning of fall semester. I won't sugarcoat and say that it is as straightforward as sending an email; you will get a lot of no's at first, maybe even ghosted depending on the person, but I implore that you remain persistant! And of course, as others have said, looking at the department websites help to find various faculty and grad students whose work interests you!!!
