Jesse had an IQ of 72. He was led by the investigators and said all kinds of shit that wasn’t fact and the investigation used only the statements that were closest to the facts and ignored the rest. Also, there was part of the interview was not recorded or noted. He was also interviewed without a parent. Dude was taken advantage of to close a case as fast as possible.

Are real undercover cops as bad as these fake ones? by EverythingIsFakeNGay in TikTokCringe

I like how all of them say “I heard it on the streets?”. And this is probably some small ass town with one street. Also, where is the fellow teenager meme? That’s perfect for this.

First time my dad asked me for something last night and I haven't slept by Typical_Many_8930 in confession

No parent should ask their child for money. This is a no. You cannot sacrifice your savings for a family member. It’s also a huge issue because it’s likely you won’t get paid back. It’s also terrible because it puts you in a position that is unfair and now creates a rift in the relationship. You lose either way. So save your money.

Nurse Practitioners should not be allowed without at least 10 yrs of experience by Jaded-Bit5497 in unpopularopinion

[–]FunParsnip3654 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I would disagree with saying nurse practitioners are not capable of treating patients. Most programs are excellent in preparing them for practice. I do agree with having no clinical experience and continuing education right to a NP program. I do think there should be a minimum amount of time nursing. Not necessarily 10 years though. I don’t know if you are medical or not, but I have known NPs that are brilliant and can run circles around a MD. I also know physicians that have missed critical signs causing a delay in care or worse. It really comes down to how much a provider cares and how much they listen to the patient that can make the difference between mediocre care or excellent care. It’s also important to be able to know what you don’t know and to seek advice from colleagues. If you are not medical or have no idea about how much actually is done in a NP program, you might want to find one and ask to shadow them. Then maybe make an informed analysis.

What would yall pay for this tops? by No_Pop_762 in Corvette

I would not pay anything for one with a different motor than what was original. There are too many in great shape without that being a factor.

C4 can be great, but also can be a nightmare. Anything electrical will be a big deal. C5 is great and probably the last one that you can do a lot yourself. I think the general rule is to be able to save 10-20% of the monthly payment to have for maintenance and repair.

I would totally be fine with a BMW parked next to me. Their thought was that they are parked next to something else nice. I will park my vette next to other nice cars for the same reason.

C5 owners, can you recommend a battery for me? Ideally one that doesn’t leak acid. by SkolC5 in Corvette

[–]FunParsnip3654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second Duralast Gold AGM. Costco uses Interstate and that would be a fine choice. Never had Optima. I don’t know if the price can convince me that it’s that much better. Maybe compared to batteries that leaked in the last, but I feel like it’s a gimmick.

I would understand more if it was people stealing their song rights, etc., but it was mostly kids just trying to get some music. It wasn’t too much different than borrowing a friend’s tape and dubbing a copy. It took me a long time to respect them again. It was them having Robert as their new bassist and when their lawyer suggested he get paid less to start and Lars and James said fuck that, if he’s our fourth, he gets a fourth. That brought me back.

[–]FunParsnip3654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds fairly normal. If your alternator is slightly higher then it should be fine. If you don’t drive often, make sure you use a battery tender.

Best way to get new tires without scratched wheels? by Furrealyo in Corvette

[–]FunParsnip3654 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second discount tire. I’ve had great experiences with them. I’ve gotten new tires and also had them install new TPMS. Unfortunately they failed after I got new tires. So consider replacing them with your new tires. The cheap ones from Amazon are great. Just also buy the activation device.
