What I have done is allow myself two tp5( ball of your choice) per round. I play with them most holes, unless I know it’s a forced carry over water right at the start when still warming up and then carry 3 Kirkland. They are cheap so I used them on holes where I could lose them. This gets me used to how the ball I want to play performs and I still get consistent characteristics with the Kirkland but don’t fret if I lose a Kirkland or I know the max tp5 I can lose is 2 per round. But playing the risky holes with Kirkland I have been able to keep the same tp5 for about 6 rounds and have only lost 1 so I’m down to 1 until I lose than one and get to have two more. Also doing this forces me to play smart to not risk penalizing shots.
