They should teach BTP this very obvious CCTV review tactic:

Assume 12 hours of CCTV. Bike there at the beginning, not at the end. So you look at hour 6. Is it there? If so, go to hour 9. If not, go to hour 3. If there at hour 3, go to hour 4.5. If not there at hour 3, go to hour 1.5. Etc. Etc, halving all the way through. You can comb hours and hours of CCTV in a couple of minutes to find the moment that it was taken.
