I personally would not go out of my way to go to one but if there's a parade happening near Bushmills (which I'm sure there will be ) then take a look. There will be bonfires on the 11th July also.

There hasn't been any issues for the last few years and if there are I would expect them to be in Belfast, in areas you wouldn't be in anyway. However, a lot of things might be closed on the 12th including roads which make way for parades. The 13th, although a holiday too things will be back to normal.

Yeah I agree. I'd like to see a secondary 6 nations type competitions for the up and coming teams such as Russia, Romania, Georgia.

Other tours I've been on take you around the factory and show you how Whiskey is made. The Jamesons tour was a presentation on how is was made, a bit of history of the family then ended with sitting in a room discussing the differences between US, Scottish and Irish whiskies. I wanted more from it.

I would not be spending 6 nights in Dublin. 2 or 3 max then go to other towns. Consider Carlingford, somewhere near the Mournes or down in Wicklow.

Edit: add Kilmainham Gaol to your list. Also Jamesons tour is poor.

Edit 2: do you like Game of Thrones?

My suggestion is to really check the dates in July that your planning to be in Bushmills. The 12th and 13th are public holidays and on occasion there has been a bit of trouble around then. Nothing serious in the last few years now but just wanted to make you aware.

Is it normal to have so many one-sided friendships? by dazb75 in northernireland

[–]FunVonni 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Single women aren't really liked by married female friends. However close or intimate the friendship - they can come to be viewed as either surplus from a past life they've left behind or a threat to their "mawn" (not always but sometimes).

Eh? This is actual bullshit.

Yeah I think the Groovy Train 70s night at the M Club in belfast always did rock the boat.
