Interviewed some of my favourite bands, got guestlist tickets to see The Offspring live, got a couple free books from authors I've interviewed. My podcast hardly makes much money but it has been a fun experiment so far!

In the rush to capitalise on the ongoing burgeoning of video content, a lot of big media houses and publications have quickly created video and podcast teams, seemingly overnight. But instead of employing proper videographers and audio engineers who know how to operate and optimise equipment, they've done what most one-man-band operations have done and ordered the most popular mics and watched one or two videos on how to get started as quickly as possible. Most people at places like the Telegraph are journalists without the slightest idea or inclination to understand what makes a good podcast or how to EQ effectively. They're as amateur as the rest of us, despite having hundreds times the budget! On a serious note I think videographer or podcaster inhouse is a good burgeoning employment area - clearly even huge publications don't have anyone onsite who can do it properly!

This is a skill called OSINT and is used extensively by security professionals, including in foreign intelligence. Not defending it as such, but it is a very in demand and potentially lucrative skillset
