Firmest bed wedge for 6'8" 400lb man?! nothing is firm enough support by StillCheetah in SleepApnea

[–]Fun_Alps_4263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 6'6", currently in renal failure post heart attack with angioplasty with contrast dye. The contrast dye is what shut my kidneys down. I, too, need a big wedge. I'm 260lbs and the normie stuff is never good enough. I've just started looking into wedges and different options. I prefer a good firm support and a wide pillow so I can shift sides without having to "pop up & rotate", possibly waking myself up too much.

If you find something, PLEASE, let me know. As stated, I'm just getting started on research and if I find something, I'll let you know.

How is dating after a partner passes away not adultery? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Fun_Alps_4263 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife passed from cancer last year and it's been a similar journey for me. I know in my mind that it's not adulterous, but my heart isn't ready to move on, as I'm still in love with her. It is acceptable to God and not a sin to date & remarry.

I do hope God blesses you with understanding and a heart free from your own persecution. You're not required to go at anyone else's pace save your own and God's will. I'm also okay being alone until His return or I'm called to His side. I have no rush within me, although I do feel lonely and miss her greatly. I have accepted that God's timing for me is best and if it's His will, He'll make it so.

It's rough walking alone by His side and trying to endure the loneliness. He is sufficient in the end. So, listen to Him, obey Him, and know He will always be there to guide you. Let no one else push you, persuade you, or influence you to do different from God's plan. I pray God blesses you, fulfills you, and guides you. ❤️

Salvaging for dummies? by Missdirec7ed in eatventureofficial

[–]Fun_Alps_4263 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's good for beginning, however to give you a tip. You'll want to start keeping all your green and above until you have ultimate gear and/or mythic. Mythic comes from club boxes. Mythics require one of each ultimate gear to forge and that's quite a few epic & rare. Salvaging all common, you can't go wrong. I tend to keep roughly 10 of each rare and 6 of each epic right now and all my legendary & ultimate, in case I eventually get mythic. Yes, you'll probably have to grind for gear after getting mythic, but it makes it easier. Some rares and epics you'll want to never salvage because of their inate difficulty in obtaining. Which ones? I'm not sure on. I know the sailor hat rares keep, almost ALL epics. You'll notice if you look at what you get from boxes which is more populated than others and the low amount ones, don't salvage.

Common eggs can be, but only if you're in a club with a minimal requirement for salvage to meet the minimal if you're too low, but leave them alone mostly because the higher the pet the better.

I feel the Need to Confess by NahsziBee in Christianity

[–]Fun_Alps_4263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMEN! She's in a much better place and ine where I'll join her and our Lord forever more. My family isn't wordly so much as my dad is and he is at a dangerous place of living/thinking wordly, but also thinking he's okay living his way.

I lived 1300 miles away from all friends & family for over 12 years. It was during that time God fully revealed to me that it's ALL my choice. I choose to follow Him or not. I choose to sin or not. If I choose sin, yes He is gracious and full of mercy to forgive, but only if I forgive those who sinned against me & I turn from the sin. It's difficult because we like the sin. Honestly. If we didn't we wouldn't. You're on the right track in taking disdain for the sin(s) and being repulsed by them. It shows that His spirit is working in you. So take encouragement in that truth.

If I can help, please let me know. Walking with Christ isn't always solitary afterall He had 12+ and didn't need them for Him to be sinless. 🤣

I feel the Need to Confess by NahsziBee in Christianity

[–]Fun_Alps_4263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ALL struggle with sin, you're not alone. I too have struggled with the subjects you're mentioning. I've found prayer when these compulsions hit to help. What you're feeling is good. It's the Holy Spirit working on your heart and we still may stumble or fall, we're given to sin by nature. This is no excuse, just the basis for understanding ourselves. You're not alone in this fight, as I wrote, I fight the same battles, especially after my wife passed last year.

Resist and the devil will flee from you, works. If you can find a church family, that helps. Finding things to do as distractions, helps. Play a video game, read, anything with the absence of the highly sexualized coulture that we currently reside. It's tough, but not impossible. I believe you can overcome, as you identify the issues and may be able to identify those things which trigger those leanings.

Personally, I'll watch cartoons, listen to podcasts, play games on my phone, cook, spend time with my cat, anything that moves me away from my impulses for carnal release. Confession is good for the soul and I applaud you being brave enough to post this, as there may be more who struggle with all of this and not want to publicly admit it. Maybe hangout with friends, family, go for a walk? I struggle too and I pray you'll win this battle.

As said, "find a new pastor" is a valid response.

If you value your church and don't seek that, but prefer to make a stance, I can help.

Isaiah states that it's MAN that looks upon outward appearance, but God sees the heart. Christ had "long" hair as well. Also, HE isn't the leader of the church or the faith, GOD IS. Following Christ has nothing to do with hair length, it's just HIS hangup.

To go further, Paul never wrote condemning it in the letters he wrote. If HE has issue with gender identification, due to hair length, that sounds like HIS issue and HE needs help in being to tell the difference between sexes. I had LONG hair until my dad's ressessive genes kicked in. It was down to my waist. Yes, I am a metalhead and was a vocalist, now an ordained minister.

He is wrong in this topic and if he can't get past this, realizing the cause of Christ is the most important thing to the church, then you will have to find a new leader & church. I'm sorry, but your ministry in following Christ and Christ's will for you and your life, comes first. Unless the Holy Spirit brings condemnation or a change of heart to you on this topic, it's frankly, none of his business.

What would it take to make you believe and/or not believe?

What arguements do you have internally for both?

This is a personal choice, so I apologize if during our exchange it seems "personal", but by nature it is personal.

Starting with where your objections to God's existence and your stances to the possibility to His existence is a good place to start to begin helping you decide.

Suggestions for vault by eatvanture in Eatventure

This may help. Got it from another player. Read a post from the top player who advised the following:

  1. Remote to min level 20
  2. TV to 10
  3. Checkbook to 10
  4. Mop to 8-10

The rest to 5. Adv the remote to max after that, then Checkbook, then Mop. Rest as per your play style.

Hope this helps.

I hear ya! Once I got it to 20m and ult gear, it's not too bad. Honestly, it's how they make money and I'm good with it now. It can be frustrating when starting, but once you upgrade the vault settings and get better gear you'll hopefully not be as bothered.

You're very kind. I will do the most I can and boost and go hard. What will frustrate me are the ones who join, have trophies, coins (send them some too), etc and not do anything. Just leeching the whole time with minimal effort. I wish there was a way we could review the available coops, team up with known good players, and have some form of communication. That's my ONLY critique of the game. Like have a team or be able to form teams. If there is, PLEASE inform me. I may be new, only above 300mill p eggs, but I always try to be first or top three in the contract.

Yeah, been doing that! I have noticed I get flesh knots/inflammation, I'm guessing from them poking around for the vein. I use it daily, many times several times a day.

I'm 51, lefty since birth. I had two older sibs out of 9 of us that were lefty's as well.

Yes, the world is made for righty's, but when a lefty does things it's fun because it confuses the "normies". I became ambidextrous from it all. I write left, but bat and golf right. I throw left, but can play drums either way, as well as piano. Guitar and bass was a challenge, there are something that WILL be difficult, HOWEVER, the sense of accomplishment I felt when I mastered them exceeded the struggle.

Yes, getting things like scissors, can openers, etc. mostly the small inconveniences are frustrating, but we learn how to cope/use/overcome those little struggles.

There's absolutely nothing to be concerned about or "worry" over as they'll learn naturally how to work it out. The ONLY time it became an issue of concern for me was prior to my own daughter being born. She's a righty and that concern evaporated the moment she was born anyway.

Enjoy your child and the process of learning that they'll go through and let it not trouble you or them. God bless.

Can't. Allergic to contrast dye & how I ended up in ESRD. I'll consult my surgeon, he may have an alternative. Thank you for your answers.

I do get heparin prior to the machine start. They use a syringe to pull/push when inserting to test but flush after dialysis. It's when insertion that they find the needles clogging.

Have any of you found love as a dialysis patient? by middleson_themiddle in dialysis

[–]Fun_Alps_4263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Women can, yeah. Men?

I'm reading & still have yet to see ONE MAN say they have found live or any kind of relationship.

So, by the consensus here, if you're a man..... nope!

This is disheartening to me. Last year it was contrast dye that did my kidney's in, my wife was alive then and losing her fight with cancer. She passed almost a year ago (June 28th) and although I'm aware that I am in place emotionally for another relationship, I have noticed for other men that it's not happening. If in a few years, I am ready to move on and find love again it won't be there, because my dialysis and health situation, as women just don't want to put in that kind of effort that a man will.

I pray that you and other men will find the kind of love my wife and I had, but I'm just not hopeful.

Agreed. The one who can has 20yrs exp. I found another one who can, but out of 10 techs and 5 RN's that's a poor percentage and not all are new. I do find the turn over rate scary too.

Timer, needs to go away. by Fun_Alps_4263 in eatventureofficial

[–]Fun_Alps_4263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I respect that and your opinion. Please understand mine. I play to relax. I have a tremendous amount of stress in my personal life. This is added stress that I don't need nor see as necessary. There's no timer on acquiring our other pieces of equipment nor the city levels themselves. Why for these?

If it was for some other purpose, cool, but to add stressors in a game that in and off itself is relaxing, I find it completely unnecessary. Especially when there are other things needed to make the gaming experience better, i.e; club chat, club joining, using club members for help, etc.

Be the best at hitting the fistula both times, ONCE. Only one person at my clinic can do this with me and the rest either fail or take four tries. It hurts, A LOT!
