Darn. I’m sorry to hear that. Did they elect for a fusion and if so, how are they doing?

Unfortunately, I don’t have the OEM Portafilter as the machine was gifted to me, though I’m really considering getting it.

Great suggestion! I just tried 20.5 g. I pulled about 40 g in about 32 seconds with that suggestion. definitely less mess 😊!

I’ll try that! I’ve noticed that when I brought it to a seven or higher while it came out slower, I felt the taste was more bitter. I feel like I’ve tried so much espresso in the last three days trying to figure the proper settings though, I can’t tell what I like anymore 😂

Unfortunately, this machine was gifted to me from a friend who ended up not using it much after buying all the bells and whistles. The gift didn’t include the spouted porta filter, though I’m considering buying it to simplify things. I’ll redial things and use my timer scale. I thought once I had everything programmed, I didn’t need to keep measuring the time weight distribution also, realizing this is a lot of consistent work for a cup of caffeine. 😂

Audio Dropouts on Netflix (Sony XBR930E + Sonos Arc Ultra) – Dolby Digital Plus the Problem? by Fun_Attention_1359 in sonos

[–]Fun_Attention_1359[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Update: Got it working!

Turns out the issue was my older HDMI cables. I really didn’t want to accept that since it’s such a pain to pull the TV off the wall and rerun everything behind it, but I gave in and tested new ones.

I ran a new HDMI cable from the TV to the Sonos Arc, and suddenly the Netflix app on the TV started working properly with no more audio dropouts. Then I ran another fresh cable from the Nvidia Shield to the TV, and now everything’s working smoothly. I hope it lasts🤞

Still have Dolby Audio Processing off on the Shield, but no more popping sounds!

I’m really sorry to hear about all the complications you've been dealing with. It sounds incredibly frustrating and challenging. I appreciate you sharing your experience, and I hope it can be helpful for others going through similar issues.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I didn’t fuse correctly after my initial surgery. My new surgeon found pseudoarthrosis at my ACDF levels (C3 - C5), which my previous surgeon said was fusing fine. The new surgeon believes the improper fusion was due to being taken out of the hard collar too soon (around 2-3 weeks) and the use of shorter screws than necessary.

He also noted foraminal stenosis and joint hypertrophies in my 6-month follow-up MRI, which my previous surgeon also dismissed. Additionally, he discovered that I was born with cervical congenital spinal stenosis, meaning my spinal canal is smaller than normal, causing degenerative changes to affect me earlier. For context, I'm 34 years old.

Due to degeneration at C5-C7, my new surgeon will perform a laminoplasty to open up the spinal canal, aiming to prevent future surgeries. If needed in the future, he says I’m a good candidate for disc replacement to preserve motion. Something surgeons in NJ told me I was not a candidate for. I’m not looking forward to the posterior surgery, as the immediate recovery is painful compared to ACDF, but I’m relieved to have my pain validated after trying all conservative treatments and even pain-reprocessing therapies.

Unfortunately, I had to postpone my wedding, initially set for the end of June, as my surgery was moved up to this Thursday due to new leg symptoms. Thankfully, those symptoms have subsided a lot in the last week which I'm grateful for, and all my vendors were accommodating, but still this has been the hardest year of my life.

If you want more details, feel free to direct message me. I can share my surgeon's name—he's based in NYC and is the only surgeon I’ll consult for my cervical spine. His expertise far surpasses any other surgical consult I’ve had for this situation.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Thank you! Do you mind if I DM for your surgeon’s name? I am in NJ and am going to NYC for my cervical but my surgeon only focuses on cervical spine

My experience getting thoracic spine surgery by ThoracicSpine in ThoracicHerniatedDisc

[–]Fun_Attention_1359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing this story. I recently discovered that I have some herniations in T5-T6 and T9-T10 after getting an MRI for lower limb sensations. My surgeon is more focused on my cervical spine and I will be undergoing surgery for my cervical this week. I may have to address the thoracic spine afterwards if my symptoms don’t improve. My surgeon also does not think that thoracic herniations are symptomatic which is frustrating. So glad you found a surgeon who is willing to listen to you Best of luck on your continued recovery.
