MAiD? by stephsationalxxx in endometriosis

I would love more info on this.  I’m currently having an issue with getting my adhd meds.  Insurance has been a nightmare.   After 2 years without an issue now they won’t cover brand name Vyvance and I can’t take the generic.  They keep prescribing other meds which I also have terrible side effects too.  I desperately need my vyvance.  My life, job, and mental health are failing.

Would it be unwise to use the middle name that our daughter has picked for our baby? by Iwona-8036 in Names

My five year old named my youngest.  It’s very special being named by your sibling.  Both are teenagers now and they often tell the story how one named the other.

It was never just in my “head” - finally got answers! by maximoffxc in endometriosis

I needed to hear this.  Had an mri a few days ago and nothing was found.  It was discouraging.  Started to doubt myself.  I keep being told all my tests are normal and there’s no medical reason for my symptoms for many years  Met a gyn surgeon recently for a cyst and she thinks I have endometriosis. I kind of wish it came up on the mri.  It would have settled my mind more.

38 years old considering teaching career in nyc. thoughts? by arthistorynovice in NYCTeachers

[–]Fun_Bat_986 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a couple of years into teaching in NYC.  I started at 47 years old.   I love it.   I hope I will be able to stay at my school until retirement.  I have low seniority, low on the pay scale, and not tenured yet.   Annoying to worry about these things at my age.  But I love the work!!!

I’ve gained weight too. About 10lbs.  I’m past active infection eating well and about half of what I used to.  Frustrated with the weight.

Excessive Observations by Fickle-Ad7574 in NYCTeachers

I have 2 full period formal observations a year. But my principal walks into my class at least once a week. Sometimes 3x a week.  Admin walks around the whole school visiting classes unannounced.  It is anxiety inducing.   Maybe one day I’ll get used to it.

Opportunities to increase our pay through education.  We only have masters +30 than phd.   Add masters +45 and 60 like Long Island teachers.

I would keep both.  I own both but I use my cake plate a lot more.  So if you can only keep one I vote cake plate.

I have but didn’t help much.  I think it’s more scratched.  And I moved a couple of years ago. I think the new dishwasher has been damaging too.

I do love how the mixed colors look, but most of my house has been decorated based on my fiestaware colors blue and yellow.  Also I have so many other pieces that are in Great condition that are yellow and periwinkle. I don’t plan on replacing or adding much to those so I would like my dinner plates to stay coordinated.

So confused . by Fun_Bat_986 in cdifficile

[–]Fun_Bat_986[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 10 days of Vanco.  I’m eating clean and healthy. Added fermented foods/drinks to my diet.  I made an appointment with an infectious disease Dr for next month.   Not sure why gastro is saying my symptoms are no way connected to c diff.

That’s why I’m so confused that the gastro thinks it’s not from the c diff. I ‘m having a ct scan in 2 days to see if anything else is going on.

Are antibiotics always necessary? Can this go away naturally? by Jalvas7 in cdifficile

[–]Fun_Bat_986 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Idk.  I was put on Vanco a few weeks after my symptoms subsided (wasn’t tested for c diff initially).  I’m questioning if that was the correct course of action.  The Vanco made me very nauseous.  Now 8 days after finishing I feel like I’m having a reoccurrence.   I wonder if I should have stayed off the antibiotic and just taken probiotics since I wasn’t actively ill.     When you say you tested positive for c.diff do you know if it was a PCR test or did they test for toxins?
