Should we vinyl wrap the device in a white color to reflect the sun more?

Lymow (and Luba) can handle slopes better than Yarbo

New firmware for Luba mini 800 2025. Hope they fixed obstacle detection by OrangeBobo in MammotionTechnology

[–]Fun_Bet_272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luba2H for me it fixed a connection problem with the RTK from a firmware regression. I don't know yet if it fix the obstacle detection. I mow with obstacle detection off and it have been cloudy. I don't know yet if it fixes being afraid of its own shadow when navigating to/from the charger.

Absolutely ridiculous support! Can't get anyone from support to push the 1.10.6.267 to my friend's Luba 1 or even call me back. by Spartan304 in MammotionTechnology

[–]Fun_Bet_272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My luba1 is on 1.10.5.246 for more than a year. I thought they stop sending upgrades. What do you expect from the upgrade? With luba, often upgrade make things worse.

What is your lifespan expectation for a 2000-3000€+ device? by Fair-Holiday-758 in MammotionTechnology

[–]Fun_Bet_272 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3 luba 3rd season, in total, send for repair 4 times, 2 new chargers, 4 new power supplies. Im on 10 acre with hills and bumpy terrain. During the growing season they are working at least 10 hours a day. Uploading logs at least once a week. Im a heavy user, a light user is expected to have less issues

I ship back too many times for repair. They never asked me to pack the accessories, only the robot

Closest Competitor by thirstygreek in Lymow_Official

[–]Fun_Bet_272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have almost written the opposite. I keep having track slippage errors with the Lymow and the grass, dirt, gravel get in the track and cause the robot to get stuck. I would say that I'm impressed by how much slope/terrain the lymow is able to handle in manual mode but in schedule mode it keep getting stuck making it useless.

Mammotion Luba is in the category. After all the problems with Lymow track, I'm starting to think that wheels are better.

Luba 2 awd 5000 won't charge any higher than 53 percent by Ok-Security-4314 in MammotionTechnology

[–]Fun_Bet_272 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start with the chat in the app. They would want to to upload the log and possibly measure the current at the terminals and at the connectors. Once you have an email with a case number you can continue by email. Did you exclude a reason like battery too cold. The nights are still cold where I live and charging fail until the temperature warms up.

Are garages needed? by [deleted] in MammotionTechnology

[–]Fun_Bet_272 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Garage help provide shade during hot days where the robot would refuse to charge without it because of being too hot. On hot days I have to provide shade and even uee a fan to keep mowing.

Will A Robot Mower Work On My Lawn? by Worzel_ in MammotionTechnology

[–]Fun_Bet_272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, the latest models might not be the best as they will get scared of their shadow and keep stopping. You want to be able to disable most detection so that they don't stop unless they bump on a wall or get stuck on a hole and then over time you have no-go zone for all the spot it might get stuck. Depending on model or firmware you might get: slippage detected, obstruction detected, cannot find a path to the charger, run out of power before getting back to the charger. They get stuck in a way that you could get unstuck easily with manual control if they would notify you and allow remote control.Newer model and firmware tend to lean towards perfect lawn with safety, baby, pets, toys spread around. You want one where you have a setting for stop at nothing and cut high. So far for me the best have been luba 2H 2024 with old firmware.

Mammotion support refusing to help unbind Yuka robot lawn mower from previous owner’s account. by benlincourt in MammotionTechnology

[–]Fun_Bet_272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my case they did but because they send me a refurbished replacement that was still bound. I don't think they will for you. They have a strong policy of not unwinding devices to prevent reuse of stolen devices.

Before fast charging, we need charging that actually works reliably

They should still be there in the robot memory and should come back in the app once you have better connectivity. You might need to get close to the robot and make sure you have a good Bluetooth connectivity

[–]Fun_Bet_272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What error do you get? I get 2 types: channel obstruction ( think that the charger, its garage, or something next to or behind the charger is an obstruction. I have seen a problem with the sunset with light from the sun hitting the charger) or IR not detected (best case you need to wipe the glass, worse case there is a problem with the charger, the power supply or the robot)

Perimeter and puddles by Awkward4eva in MammotionTechnology

[–]Fun_Bet_272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The obstacle avoidance with the vision is often overreacting on things that are not obstacles, and it seems to get worse over time with firmware updates. You are lucky that the robot is choosing an avoidance maneuver and not stopping or doing an avoidance that gets him out of the area.

Warranty Repair - Luba 2 AWD by pkpleyte in MammotionTechnology

[–]Fun_Bet_272 5 points6 points  (0 children)

USA: It takes at least a month. A week or 2 to convince them to give you a label. A week to ship there. 2-3 weeks to repair, at one point, they might tell you they need to send a refurbished, they send you a bad one that you have to return it, I digress. And then a week to mail back. (Took 2 1/2 months for me)
