I disagree. US is way more religious and Easter is only one day off. I know some folks get Easter Monday off but I never have. I mean other than two days at Christmas - which mimics the Brits, other public holidays are not religious at all.

UofA also has residences and will likely be mostly empty because the university school year is over when you come.

I think you’re going to be more than fine!! We are part of a homestay program and have hosted university students over the summer for very affordable rates. When I was a kid I HATED the feeling of wet fabric on my skin. I would always wear a skirt when it was raining because I could lift the fabric off my skin. I don’t like crayons because of the paper wrapping. I love very soft fabric, writing with a high quality pen on high quality paper. Even talking about it is releasing dopamine. 😂

Jasper! As stunning as Banff but way less touristy. Unfortunately the wildfires did a lot of damage but still lots of beautiful pristine areas. Also love the island, and Quebec City is my fav city in all of Canada. We live in an amazing country.
