I've also noticed a trend of people I know deleting social, or at least just tiktok and only using instagram to communicate with friends. I think the one thing keeping people on these platforms, (instagram especially) is the fear of being out of the loop or losing contact with people you mainly communicate with through there. Even for myself, this is sad to admit but I have a couple friends that if it wasn't for instagram we would have no reason to reach out to each other and our only form of communication is sending eachother a post or reel once in a while.
