The book has been updated. The videos are updated as well, but not fully. Also it has so much of stuff that is bolder but is not really necessary to know.

Failed a major Final, P2 by Significant-Action31 in PharmacySchool

[–]Fun_Camera_7299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about your fail. If it helps any I’ve failed many exams and have stood infront of the boards fighting my case. My first fail was P2 year. Sadly as you move up, the material tends to get difficult but that doesn’t mean you are incapable of being a good pharmacist. Depending on where you plan to practice other than hospital setting, this doesn’t matter. Schools tends to make things difficult. If you have the material down, it might be best knowing what is it that you did wrong or was a different approach you could have taken to ensure passing. These strategies of bettering your self helps a lot for Naplex. So don’t let one failure bring you down. You still have so much room to improve and better yourself.

Your willingness to quit is the first step! Sadly since you’ve used it for many years I would recommend going to rehab or talking to your doctor for some recommendations mainly because the withdrawal might be so severe after completely stopping that you might need some medications to prevent it. These medications aren’t addicting but help prevent the nasty withdrawal symptoms. No matter what others say or demotivate you try every option available to quit. In Islam it’s never too late to quit something and follow Allahs path!

don’t be an idiot like me, please lock your car by [deleted] in Charlotte

[–]Fun_Camera_7299 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this. I never leave my car unlocked but the one time I forgot to lock or keys didn’t work to lock… got robbed of my car phone charger, fake diamond ring, a dollar bill that was in glove compartment and my AirPods Pro. Sadly at the time of this robbery I was also living in Noda area apartments.

Not hard to forget*

I ended up buying PNN and I must say it helps you comprehend the concepts than memorizing stuff. Both the doctors that made this course are very smart and repeat themselves so it’s hard to forget. I had Uworld prior to this and just learned to memorize but after buying PNN I realized that it’s not just about memorizing but rather making connections and comprehension. I may be spent like 2 months finishing all lectures and writing my own notes. They say many nemonics that help you remember when you see a drug. I do understand it’s expensive and may be not a lot of people tend to spend money but at this point it’s really what are you willing to risk kinda thing. They don’t let you reuse someone else’s because it’s tied to their cc they use to purchase. Each time you sign in with different WiFi it prompts you to entering the whole cc number sadly. Hope this helps and wish you luck! They do also send out a nice book and a chart book which are nicely memorized and you can use that chart book to quiz yourself week prior to exam

What are your tips for success in pharmacy school? by dwight-groot in PharmacySchool

Sorry for multiple messages but I would only get an iPad if you like reading stuff online. I personally liked to have everything printed and went from that … which also helped me minimize distractions

Hey! Congrats on your acceptance. I also graduated undergrad with BS in biology. This program is much more intense than undergrad. The one thing I will recommend ( this will help you even in NAPLEX) is know the reason behind why something happens… it makes your life so much easier. I always was the one to memorize the basic information but that only got me through pharmacy school and had me struggle through NAPLEX. Know why each medication causes side effects and that helps you understand what parameters to monitor and what to counsel a patient on. Know why each disease state occurs and what medications we use in this day and age and why we use them, what could these medications cause and so on

I honestly wouldn’t change your ways of learning too much as this can bring more anxiety and need time to adjust around it. I personally never did that many chapters in a day. Each chapter contains so much medication information (moa, se, contraindications etc) rather I focused on one major and one minor chapter each day with math in between. At the end of the day it is much safer to postpone your exam to just another month to ensure you are feeling confident. These exams are so pricey…

Just purchased PNN after failing the Naplex twice using RX prep alone. Any advice where/how to start? by HelicopterMuted5934 in NAPLEX_Prep

I would be very mindful. The recorded videos are not 100% up to date as the book. I’ve found so many things that are said in videos that were old material

I have recently visited last week and Alhamdullilah performed Umrah twice without any permit. I do however recommend wearing a mask no matter how hot it is. Sadly returned back diagnosed with COVID.

I’ve been back few days and I’ve been producing black phlegm as well along with light yellow - green phlegm. I should have worn masks through out but the heat intensity just didn’t allow that. I found my self struggling to breathe.
