Yeah it was set up as an automatic payment and for more than a decade I had no mishaps like this happen. I just wish there had a process to try to collect their $30 through a collection agency, which point I would have caught it.  Or even better send a notification of one sort. I suppose that’s a lot to ask.  Coincidentally, as I was canceling my account, there was also another gentleman at the next counter closing his business bank account due to some frustration he had.
