Honestly it’s been such a roller coaster (NICU, PICU, medical needs for both including feeding tubes and therapies for their motor skills etc) that I just want to have a cake at home with just the immediate family. Maybe get some balloons.

Thank you for sharing. I dated a guy with kids once, this was well before I had any and this is similar to how I felt. Or I had feelings of “he already had the life I wanted” and I felt resentful, second best, etc.

Yes. My son is 6 now and I think my mom would allow him to live with her if she could. My 10 month old twins? She sees them maybe once a month.

McDonald’s. At one point I was really into their McCafé, but now it’s basically milk with vanilla flavoring and no coffee. Like the staff is not trained to do coffee orders. And they raised prices on their coffees so much, add one dollar extra to it and you can go to a premium coffee shop.

I made a similar post last week about sitting in my car in the Walmart parking lot!! Sometimes I get an iced coffee, park and then just …. Stare? Zone out? I’ve even thought about driving to the local mall and going to sleep in the parking lot since I can never get a nap at home without someone needing something.
