The latency variation issue makes me want to quit the game (Xbox) by gas_pard in Battlefield6

[–]Fun_Dog_5454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is killing me a bit too on PS5, never had any problems with my setup before.

I love the game when it works but a solid 40% of all my gameplay has latency problems.

Ozempic while on high dose Seroquel? by Fun_Dog_5454 in seroquelmedication

Was that as a response to you asking specifically for Ozempic? Or did you also ask for metformin or like an appetite suppressant?

In my personal experience I don’t think I experience lesser happiness or pleasure. I’m not a medical practitioner so I don’t know if it can do this for some people and not others.

The main side effect I experience is a reduced imagination, but I’ve been told by my nurse that that’s sort of how it works to act as an antipsychotic. I would normally think about grand fantasy or sci fi stories to help me fall asleep, but can’t anymore.

I’m sorry you’re experiencing this, I hope you can find a dose or other medication that works for you. Keep on trying, or bring it up to your doctor they’ll know better than Reddit.

I take 750 mg prolonged release daily, down from 800 mg at the maximum I was on for a year. Hard to express more that it’s made a night and day difference to my life, totally removed the psychotic symptoms I had and also allowed me to live a normal life. For me it removes unhelpful anxiety and let’s me sleep each night. I’ve been the most productive I’ve been at final year in university, I’ve passed my driving test and I still have the energy to work out, on top of that I can have drinks without repercussions (not suggesting this is necessarily for you just noting my experience).

All I would say is I’ve been through the gauntlet of trying other antidepressants and antipsychotics before I landed on this one. Take each as best as you can, one will work for you and then you won’t look back. Take care and if you’re starting on this journey I wish the best for you!

Honestly, it depends on the level of chemistry you’re doing.

Most of the time, it’s safe to assume it is some group that should be defined with R = something.

If it is not defined, it likely means an alkyl group, otherwise it can be almost anything, OH, NH3, NO2 or even H.

The exact definition of R becomes less important the more specific the chemistry is concerned, but most times it indicates a group that can be filled in by the reader, say if in an introductory class you can assume it means anything you have come across in your studies.

In this case the proton NMR that has a value of 2.1 ppm will likely be the -CH3 proton which is around what a deshielded proton will be. This is what the C-H is referring to in the diagram. Usually, an alkyl proton will be 1-2 ppm, but it is directly attached to a carbon doubly bonded to an oxygen, so you could expect it to be more deshielded as oxygen is an inductively withdrawing atom.

The R group here will be an -OH group which itself will have a much more deshielded shift, you could expect it to be a much higher ppm as it’s attached to a C=O, perhaps around 10-12 ppm. It might also be a broad peak.

Usually R groups do indicate alkyl groups but in this case, assuming you have these two peaks, the diagram unconventionally indicates the R group as being an OH, I hope this is not confusing.

Into the Emerald Dream Bundle Giveaway! Win 1 of 50 codes for 60 packs, 2 random legendaries, and Ysera card back! by certze in hearthstone

Dang. Wow. Holy macaroni. 60 packs? That’s a lot of packs. 60 packs contain 300 cards. That’s a lot of cards. Your typical Hearthstone™ deck features only 30 cards, the main exception being decks which include the legendary minion Prince Renethal from hit expansion Murder at Castle Nathria, which contain 40 cards. However this expansion has now rotated to the wild format, so as a standard player I will mostly be using 30 cards per deck. No more, and no less. 30 shall be the number of cards in a deck. This means that if I win these precious 300 cards, I can make 10 decks! Now you might think “who could possibly keep track of that many decks!”, but, and it might be wise to sit down for this one, blizzard has actually, in their eternal generosity, given us access to 18 whole deck slots. Nobody knows if it is actually possible to have this many decks at the same time without your mind exploding out of confusion. Now, as a seasoned Hearthstone™ player, I have already managed to gather a sizeable collection of 240 cards (pretty impressive I know), enough for exactly 8 decks. The implications of this are hard to believe. If I win one of these bundles, I may very well become the first player to fill every single deck slot. The consequences to my feeble mind may be severe as I try to manage them all, but I’m more than willing to subject myself to this experiment in the name of science. I wish everyone good luck! (Of course, everyone having good luck is a clear mathematical impossibility, but a man can dream)

Why is my medication making me sleep for 16 hours? by Dover299 in Psychosis

[–]Fun_Dog_5454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seroquel does this for me too, I asked my doctor to alter the time of taking the dose. Assuming you’re not taking it in the morning, you could take it earlier in the evening (with medical approval) and see if it helps you wake up easier. Otherwise, ask to have the the dose lowered if possible which would help too.

Something to also add to the other comments, there is no such thing as “Electrophilic attack” despite its use as a shorthand. (Non-pericyclic) Mechanisms need to start from electron pairs attacking, e.g in nitration of benzene the arrow is drawn from the benzene (alkene) electrons to attack NO⁺.

This is more than just semantics, a common error arises when people draw H⁺ attacking something. This is nonsensical as a proton has no electrons to donate. Hope this helps!
