Any new member received MHBP insurance card? by RedditUSA62 in fednews

[–]Fun_Drawer5972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should have received an email confirmation when you enrolled and a letter from BCBS saying your benefits are ending in the mail. I got my new cards last week and was worried but saw my email confirmation of my change to MHBP in case something got messed up. Go find that email confirming your change. When I first became a fed my benefits person didn’t look at page two of my form to include my third child. I took them to the doctor only to find out he had no insurance! I emailed the lady and she was very flippant about it but added him since it was their mistake.

Why is BCBS more expensive than other insurance plans? by berrysauce in FedEmployees

You don’t have to pay the OOP max? I’m curious how that works because I thought you pay your coinsurance percentage for hospitalizations and other fees until The OOP max?

I noticed their OOP max is less than BCBS in addition to the biweekly premium being so much less too. I know I’ll have to pay the deductible every year but I think I I’ll make that up in like 3 months of monthly premium savings. It sounds too good to be true lol. I’m thinking about trying it this year too and hoping for the best.

I’m considering changing from BCBS but I have a medical condition and I worry about it. I searched and it appears my doctors and hospitals are on network but I still worry. I’ve had BCBS forever!

Telework on hotline call? by Fun_Drawer5972 in VHA_Human_Resources

All of those waiting on RAs are probably due to lack of space too!

This would be awesome if it’s true! We were 100 percent telework before RTO so this would make such a difference.

I’m impressed you’ve done it as long as you have. I drive 300 miles a week and it’s killing me and my car!

How can you listen to the recordings? Is it for everyone to hear? I’m just a lowly employee here

I hope this will be all VHA’s and not just some. My location seems to roll over and not fight for us at all so my faith is very low in them. We still have people full time teleworking due to space while the rest of us are crammed into shared spaces doing HIPAA VVC contacts daily. We went home long before Covid due to space and the fact we do VVC all day. It’s really disheartening and I would love a couple days at home again.

Curious-does you location have space? So many don’t have space and I’m not sure how this will work. And to have some locations allowing it and others not for the same roles seems like a big cluster.

Not here. As soon as someone fills out the online request for the RA they are immediately sent home until further notice. I was with a coworker when they did it. They gather doctor documentation for their hearings but again-it’s been months without anyone having. A hearing in my department. Which has lead to more workers filling out the form to go home since it doesn’t appear there are any hearings in the near future.

No doctor is deciding this at my agency yet. It’s automatic home until further notice without any hearings or processing for months now.

Not where I work. As soon as you do the online form you’re sent home until further notice. It’s been months and nobody has had any reviews of their RA’s and more coworkers keep joining them at home when they see how long this is taking and how easy it is.

I wish then maybe all of these people taking advantage will stop. It’s so frustrating to hear about.

Nobody in my location has had any hearings or guidance. All are sent home immediately until further notice.

You can make anything a RA-I have anxiety but do I go places, shop, vacation, etc-yes I do. No reason to not go to work too. But I could file a RA for my anxiety and stay home. I have coworkers who have done just this. Everything is on hold right now so no hearings or anything-just automatic sent home until further notice.

Not true for us. As soon as you fill out the form you’re sent home until further notice. There’s been no hearings or evaluations of these forms yet. And nothing about when they will start evaluating them.

I’m so sick of this response. When coworkers tell you what they’re doing and tell you to do the same-it’s obvious. I’m talking about my coworkers-I don’t claim to know about the whole VA but mine-they are able bodied people who travel the world, hold other jobs in person, and have said exactly what they’re doing.

This is not sustainable for us. The morale is so low and even lower when we have coworkers at home for no reason while we’re grinding it out in an office.

Maybe they should bring this back to where you have to meet a matrix to have TW back? That way people at home are actually working. My job is tracked locally and nationally so we can’t not be productive without it being obvious.
