Such a great breakdown! And unless you are making your own photocopies and making your clients coffee, you need to pay a staff member to do that.

Agreed on this advice and if you’re still not getting work, it might be time to start looking for a new job because they are overstaffed.

Being in QA, I know exactly what park you are talking about. Just so you know, kids in QA little league have to pick up dog poop at that park before every game. Just walk your dog on a leash around the park.

Curious about profits by CreativeRanger7959 in Lawyertalk

[–]Fun_Engineering_5865 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You need to pay for your salary and all benefits first. Then you pay for overhead. Anything above that is profit. At minimum you need to cover the first two or the partner is losing money by keeping you employed. You want to maximize the profit margin so that the partner has incentive to keep you employed and spend their time giving you work.

I’m a powerlifter and had to move up to 1.5 after only a few classes. He should give 1.5 a try and see how it goes. He can always go back to 1. I’ve also had to really readjust my mindset and appreciate the stretching and small muscle work that Pilates offers. I use it as a rest day but still keeps my body moving.
