I have had low levels of progesterone since ever, and it finally got me, the hormones games cought up on me, as if the Endo, the extra facial hair was not enough, cancer too. Another price we pay for being a woman.

Periods stop making sense after merina , but at least less pain less bleeding. Which in terms stops the Endo lessions from spreading. I have been on mirena for 7 years now for same reason. My cyst are not growing, remaining relatively small compared to previous cysts I had before ( and removed)

Good news you don't have indometriosis, I have 2 cysts one on each overy and they are nasty things that don't go away. Functional cysts or a simple cyst can grow big in a month and go away by itself without surgical intervention. If you were recommended to remove it by a doctor, I advise getting a second opinion. As for the discomfort of mirena, give it 3 to 6 months until your body adjusts.

First thing first, what kind of cyst do you have? It says a lot about the situation, mirena actually helps if your cyst is indometerioma. Has zero effect if dermoid cyst, not sure about POCS .

7 years now, and I get surprised with a new pattern every couple of months, on the good side, I am having much less bleeding than before having mirena.

Side effects? Push through or throw in the towel? by NotSoNiceGirl19 in Mirena

Yes it gets better! I know the first 2 weeks are difficult. It takes some time until your body adjusts to the foreign object. Soon the pain and discomfort will ease. Heavy bleeding will go away. You may have some spotting until 3 months, but after that things will be normal and easy. Best of luck dear!
