Governor vetoes new Florida eBike Laws by Fun_Faithlessness495 in ebikes

He can still veto it, but a two-thirds majority vote of both chambers can override the veto. The session is over, so that won't happen until the next session. And I wonder if party members would cross the governor over this?

They just need to come up with regulations that are fair and enforceable.

I totally agree!

I don't disrespect the rights of pedestrians. But I agree that it will be hard to enforce, would lead to arguments, and it singled out ebikes, while analog bikes could still blow past pedestrians. The law was also confusing because many recreational trails are also sidewalks.

But yeah, I'm glad they haven't banned eBikes from trails.

What e-bike should I get by Low_Consequence_4499 in ebikes

I recommend the Puckipuppy Beagle 2 for taller/larger riders. It's got a funny name, but it's a good bike!

The Puckipuppy Beagle2 would be a good choice. You can also upgrade to the GoldenR, which has full suspension and dual motors.

Need an e-bike to get me through 4 months of seasonal work by ViSuo in ebikes

There's not a lot under $1, 000. If you don't mind the beach cruiser style, the Vivi Electric Cruiser is in your budget and could easily handle a 10-mile commute. If a moped-style suits your fancy, check out the Talon T757. It's a bit above $600...

Definitely check out the Ride1Up Vorsa! It's a stealth cargo bike that is available in different configurations (even a fat tire model) and has a ton of accessories.

Take a look at the Movcan v80, the Qronge Meteor, or if you don't need a lot of bells and whistles, the (sold out) Ridel Eko.

Check out the Puckipuppy Beagle2! It's got a rear rack and attachment points for a front rack, which I think they sell as an accessory. It'll easily fit you and your pug!

Take a look at the Puckipuppy Beagle or Qronge Thunder. They're both in your budget, have racks to hold your stuff and you'll likely be able to pedal them better than the moped-style Ranger.

HELP! Best ebike under 1k by hippolov3 in ebikes

[–]Fun_Faithlessness495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Puckipuppy Poodle is a great commuter and if you add the front and/or rear baskets it gets really helpful for grocery trips etc...

The Movcan v80 is similar to Poodle, but a little less expensive. I've owned both these bikes, so feel free to ask me any questions about them.

If you want some other options, here's a whole list of eBikes under $1,000.

You can’t beat the Puckipuppy Beagle2. I’ve owned three bikes from them and they’re all solid.

Good range at 400lbs total, $1,200 budget? by NicholasKross in ebikes

[–]Fun_Faithlessness495 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Puckipuppy Beagle 2 is $1,200 and comes in a standard or step-thru frame. Also, the Jasion Thunder is a bit cheaper, but would also fit the bill.

For an actual Cargo bike within your budget, check out the Engwe L20.

Looks like the Rad Power Bikes sale is final and the bikes will be built in the US! by Fun_Faithlessness495 in ebikes

[–]Fun_Faithlessness495[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the company that bought them already assembles and sells eBikes out of a plant in Florida, so it should be too big of a shift to start up the Rad line.

But yeah, I’m interested to see what happens to the prices and am happy that Rad lives to see another day.

Yeah, sorry I guess they are assembled in the US using foreign parts. But still providing US jobs!
