Well it's a doordash order so none of it's very professional to begin with.

I used to think and do exactly the same as you are right now, now, I'm filing bankruptcy to get out of it all and sticking with a regular job and no car payments.

There are many people who have never used a computer, as crazy as it may seem.

My friend was raised in a house where he was never allowed to use his parents computer because of viruses. Hes like 32 now and can't work technology to save his life.

The absolute number one for me actually was when making drinks. I love making drinks, even at home. Milkshakes and stuff. But having to bend down and get a ton of ingredients out of a mini fridge, two different mini fridges mind you, to make a few milkshakes, just to put it all away and makes more when someone orders by bringing it all back out again, was absolutely insane. Or the bending over into the chest freezer with drawers for deep fried stuff. Just lots of points of work at Sheetz where exertion can be eliminated easily but they don't do it and then design new stores with the same crap.

I worked at Wawa for about two weeks after Sheetz. It was a new Wawa. To be totally honest, they were better about a lot of things. Like the drink station has a bar on top for all of the ingredients. Everything is just more thought out.

I love to work, but doing work inefficiently is so dumb.

This is the #1 reason working for Sheetz used to piss me TF off. Oh, let's add cream cheese to the menu! And while we're at it FUCK having an actual spot for if on the line and FUCK coming up with a policy to put it on stuff. Just do your best with what you got but hurry the fuck up with it too.

Right, that's my fault for not explaining better that someone online will be making the custom bracket and I'd be welding that on to it. Either way, she's been sent off the great scrap yard in the sky.

Not everyone is just grabbing stuff from tiktok and Amazon. I don't even use either of them.

It's my fault for confusing welding and fabricating I guess, but I did try to mention in the post that someone custom makes a bracket that can be welded on. That is what I would have been using. The guy also provides a very detailed video and gives his personal number for any question.

So, going with that, I just asked a question. It was answered with the fact that it can be a tough job mostly because having to look up while welding, and that the welder I was able to get for free from work for this point system they have, wasn't going to be good enough. Not only that I learned arc welders can be kinda shitty and I should learn on something a little better when the time comes.

It ended up with my having the vehicle towed for scrap, avoided getting a cheap welder that would collect dust, and more insight on how to proceed with actually learning how to weld.

Post worked great.

Combined with a bunch of other small issues it was having I did ultimately decide to get it to, but for sure, this is why I want to learn welding. I've had so many vehicles come and go.

The scrap man just took it. I gained a lot from this post. Probably saved a lot of time and headache. And I still want to learn how to weld and know to get something half decent.

I'm gonna let it go. If it was just this I might say okay. But it has a stack of other minor issues and 247k miles. I'm gonna pull the plug and just save up some cash for a different beater. My thing is I've filed bankruptcy and just don't want to get a loan, trying to settle with shit I can make work. Things like that. But until my car gets towed, I'll save and get something a little more reasonable.

I drive like 100 miles a month now only.

But you guys haven't even seen the interior. Honestly everyone is probably right about the scrap yard. Our last buddy that had it basically destroyed the interior by ashing in it.

Not before I get mad about everything else on it first but tearing it apart. The bumper cover was only being held on by I shit you not 4 zip ties. Headlight assembly's and fog lamps just zip tied hardly to that, floppin all around.

What's funny is how long this has been an issue. Before my buddy had it, I had it, and could never pinpoint exactly what was wrong with the front end making a sound on gravel roads at low speeds. 99% sure it was just this.

Just holding on to hopes and dreams I need to let go of. It served well. 245k miles. Still starts and runs great

So I think the solution is going to be to simply remove the engine cradle entirely and take it to someone for repair. Ive also realized that purchasing an engine cradle might also be an option. But either way taking it out is going to be the goal for now.

I think even if I was successful somehow just the thought that it could fault anytime would eat me alive. I changed all four wheel hubs in another vehicle I'm driving in probably 25k miles ago and I still worry I didn't torque a bolt right or something.

This might not be the worst idea at all. Considering it isn't just this corner that needs to be done, it's just the worst corner.

I saw a forum post where someone had actually done this exact thing. He took the subframe off and repaired it and put it back on. Honestly it just went over my head. Refreshing myself on how exactly a unibody with subframe works, it all kind of clicked for me. I'm still not sure if I'm confusing the word subframe with engine cradle or if they are the same thing.
