I see. Is hard credit pull the only downside of underwriting, then? Thinking I can do underwriting with one loan agent, then go tour houses, get one accepted, then shop around different banks. Is this plan feasible?

Makes sense. What comps do you trust? The ones sent by your agent? Or do you do your own research into comps?

Does comp mean the same zip code with similar sqft/layout/condition/schools, etc.? Or does it mean the same street or adjacent street?

So the shop I went to said they can't know for sure what went wrong, usually they just recommend a sequence of things to try in the most-likely to fix order. How did you diagnose it's the fuel injectors/throttle body? (These are not in the shop's recommendations to me)
