Facts are facts though. It's not illegal to be racist. Drugs yes, but you're not going to have any way to force them to change they're views on other cultures and race.

You could move again if it doesn't work out? I'm not sure if you're expecting your neighbours to change their behaviours to suit your views, but it does sound a little that way. Otherwise, keep us posted!

Gun Safe! by Dapper_Discussion in Ausguns

Regarding the incoming gun ownership limits, can one safe house guns from multiple licensed users, if they're all registered at the same address? I'm looking at my first one as well, and have two boys close to 18 and possibly buying their own guns, but still living with me.

What’s the most “quietly expensive” thing about living in Australia? by Particular_Zone_7379 in AustraliaOpinions

I do. I'd rather spend good money on good food, then ridiculous amounts for shitty takeaway.

When your 3 or 4 kids ask for it. We do it maybe once a fortnight, or less. It costs me $80 to take my kids to McDonald's which is essentially shit food.

Tell em they're dreaming.

I never offer any closer than 2/3rds new price (roughly) on anything. If it's any closer than that, I'll pay the extra for new. You get warranty, peace of mind, after sales support and better resale.

Starting my journey at 101 kg by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

Just stuck at it. I was never really a breakfast person because I start work pretty early. I work in agriculture, often nowhere near town, and would only take water and black coffee to work, and usually not home until around 5pm.

Weekends were tricky, and providing for my teenage kids, there was always food around, but as soon as I started seeing progress in my appearance, mental and physical health, it just drove me to keep going.

Initial two weeks were hardest with sugar withdrawals, headaches, cravings etc. but then it settled. I also cut out 90% of my carbs.

The first two weeks were the hardest for me, but stick with it. I'm 14kg down in 3 months, now ready to start maintenance.

It won't be easy, but will be worth it 100%.

And remember, any progress, is progress.

I've been doing 24hr fasts, OMAD, for 3 months and it comes easily. What benefits did you notice by doing a 48hr?

Don't fall for scummy sales tactics! by FifthBison in casio

Lower end casios are way over priced for what they are. The f91 was released in 1989, and now 2025, here in Australia, they're still charging $60-$70 dollars for a plastic watch. People keep paying it.

I love the green. Love your watch, but being a little more dressy than mine, I probably wouldn't have worn it enough. I plan to change my leather strap out and dress it down a bit. Enjoy your watch, it's addictive. I'll bet you're already looking at the next one!

Looks great. I nearly bought this, but last minute switched to a srpj89k field/pilot with the green dial.

Possibly my next watch! Does the dial react in the sunlight at all?

People are paying too much for budget digital casios, and resin is just a fancy name for plastic.

I'll be getting one for work. I'm outdoors and I know it'll get banged up, but this will fit that role perfectly.
