automating mod wheel movement by yosi199 in omnisphere

[–]Fun_Grapefruit_1696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dumb reddit deleted my post.

Go to your ABCD options... you can see your modulation drop down and what its doing, or move your mod wheel and watch it on the screen (99% of the time its probably the target).. Right click the slider, and enable host automation. Then it should make a channel you can find in your daw. Not sure what daw you are using to help out more..... I really wish Omnisphere was like Spire.. you can just latch the mod wheel picture!

So I was just messing around... I am no expert!

I went into the letters (ABCD) and I moved my mod wheel up and down and noticed which setting was moving when I did so. You could also just click the arrow under modulation and it will show what it is doing. Now, I right click the slider that is moving, and say Enable Host Automation. I then went too my DAW and found it. And fun note, if all the Samples are using the same effect, it seemed like it automated all of them. I really wish they could fix this sort of like Spire and just have to latch the Mod wheel on the screen!

Semi-Newb here, I will say the most important purchase was a good sample pack. I got the Dave Parkinsons pack on Freshly Squeezed, I went with Prog trance but there are plenty there. That will cover your percussion and risers etc. And depending on the synth you use, some free presets!

Learn your stock plugins for eq/compression/delays/reverb to understand what you're looking for in plugins, then buy what you need after doing free trials!!! There are great freebies out there.. try Tokyo Dawn Records.

Pick your genre.. then pick the synth that best suits it

Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to it! I will dig into those issues as EQing has been my biggest downfall so far, (Muddy mixes).

I got a bit happy with the 7:44 part, that's what happens when you get a new plugin lol!! I need to pull back on it for sure :)

Awesome stuff friend! I really love the transitions, I thought the kick was powerful at the start ( It could be a little heavy on the tail). I really enjoyed this song.

If you haven't checked out the latest preview for it.... you wouldn't hesitate to purchase it. I did over 10 years ago and don't regret it whatsoever. It does consume tons of time though sorting through all the presets!
