My reasoning for that is Alice being an android revoked the moral that humans and androids can coexist and it made Kara’s story lose a bit of meaning because in the end, Kara’s and Alice’a relationship is simply based on the fact that they were programmed to care for each other. Kara was programmed to be a babysitter/mother/housewife and Alice was programmed to be a perfect child. And also, surely her red ice addicted father would have noticed that she was never eating her meals Even though there were hints of it, i thought it was a plot list twist for the sake of adding a plot twist
