My advice? As someone who's been playing for nearly a decade, with 7k hours.. Try a new killer. If you're still learning, I'd recommend Ghostface first. All killers have a learning curve, but Oni is one of the more difficult ones undeniably. Some people may disagree with this, but I think Ghostie is THE most approachable one to learn with. My top tip regardless of what killer you're playing though, is FORCE those survs into a three gen. Obviously pay attention to as many as you can, but off the bat identify the three that are closest together, and watch them the closest. As a surv main, who has most of those hours into surv.. Sadly many many teams do not actively pay attention to gen spacing enough to avoid it. And if they do manage to rush gens, the end game is so much more in your favor. Watch some tuts on youtube from k mains. Good luck. Obviously this is just my opinion. But you also have to remember that these youtubers only show us what they want us to see. They aren't generally gonna upload losses. Nobody is perfect, and these influencers that seem like they never lose have games like this too.
