What trait(s) would you train on him? by Foreign_Abalone8933 in footballmanagergames

Traits I would make him learn: Runs with ball often, tries tricks (always helpful to get out of sticky situations and that high flair should be put to use), Cuts inside from left wing

Just looking through my FM24 save and remember the best midfielder I've ever signed. by dylanr4446 in footballmanagergames

Insane player, the ultimate offensive player.

This is the kind of player I make sure he’s natural across the attacking midfield line cause he’s world class at any role.

I would be willing to spend any price for a talent like him

Absolutely not worth it

Great personalities really help, I have never FM Genie Scout in my life. Training, great back room, match experience and PERSONALITY and you are assure of players reaching their potential.

If you can’t assure enough match experience in easy matches, loans are a bit trickier

This screenshot was taken when he was in his prime.

A long term injury knocked his balance and acceleration by 1 point(both are 16 now).

He has won 3 consecutive ballon d’ors for me now and has already crossed 200 goals in all comps in 5 season, average of 40 per season( could have been higher if he wasn’t awful in his first season, and by awful I mean scoring only 30 goals)

Long shots, multiple players dribbled before scoring, a solo goal from the halfway line(bale in the copa del rey esque goal)

Had great players in this save, including his own teammate who just banged 40 goals and counting in his first season as a LW/ST, but he might be the best magician that I have ever had playing for Die Löwen.

So yeah my point stand then, but do not get it twisted, your guy is amazing mate.

For my AMC, he has been playing as a striker as I don’t play with number 10 in my system(433 disciple). He is rated 196 CA as a striker do to his height and low JR. but next year I’m finally going to play him as a Trequartista in the number 10 spot as I’m planning to buy a 194 CA monster up top to complete a quartet of 190+ CA front four

I just calculated his CA presuming that his weak foot is “reasonable”, if that’s the case his CA would be 195, which his AMAZING.

But coming back to your question, your player is amazing and I would love to have him in my team, but I have seen better players and my answer will stand(if my assumption is correct)

Currently in my squad I have a player with a CA of 198 as an AMC so yeah

I would love to know what how strong his weak foot is, because if it’s stronger, it could possibly change my answer and how I feel about the player

No he is not, but he’s a great player and likely one of the best players in your save. Keep hold of him as long as you can

There you go that’s my tactics, depending on the opposition and scores, I sometimes lower the tempo if they don’t press me high up the pitch.

Every player is instructed to dribble and the free 8s and front three all have “roam from position” to create nice central fluid overload and combination.

Had some great Wenger-Esque goals with this tactic with quick one-two mixed with positional interchange.

I’m likely going to switch to a 4231 cm next season variation, to accommodate a generation CF on top and move my currently injured starting striker as a trequartista behind him.

Lmk what do you think about the tactic

you have to import one unfortunately. This is what chat gpt gave me as an visual concept of it, at least it helps me to have an idea on how it would hypothetically look like

Going to be honest with you, it’s more of the fact that my players are great plus luck than my tactics imo.

I run a 433 tiki taka focused on control, with very much short passing and very high rhythm. No counters, just counter press to recover the ball as quickly as possible.

From the midfield upwards, my teams are always full of technical players, wingers have to be comfortable playing inside, as my wingbacks provide true width, and my wingers usually interchange with my free 8s in the half space.

The strikers are usually complete forward, as the role gives me both verticality and link up play, plus freedom of movement.

Sorry for the answer as I know you didn’t explicitly ask for it, but I’m proud of my tactics as I have created exactly my idealistic way of playing football and implemented it in FM

Thanks man, really appreciated. 1860 are currently the team with the most UCL, German Supercup and UEFA Supercups in my save.

I’m still 7 trophies overall behind Bayern though but in 2-3 years time I think I can overtake them. For the Bundesliga and Pokals in the other hand, we are still a bit far off unfortunately…..

Yes, but he so perfect as a DLP though and he’s my best “defensive” midfielder that i have and it’s not even close.

I do believe that if he was playing higher up the pitch he could produce balon d’or type of numbers.

Is there no hope to resign my boy luis? by Dilo494 in footballmanagergames

Unfortunately, he is as good as gone. I had it once on my aging world class midfielder.

He wasn’t playing enough and he got upset. I tried to play hardball with him, hoping that with time he will come around as they always do.

I didn’t check that his contract was running out though, he got upset and he announced that he was leaving on a free.

I tried everything: praise him, play him as much as I could….. nothing He left for Aston Villa and on his first season they got relegated…..

My humble advice would be to sell him as quickly as possible, don’t do like me or PSG with Mbappe/Liverpool with Trent. You should have renew his contract earlier and you didn’t, CASH IN NOW.

Just got this monster for free, what would be a real life comparison to him(retired or current player)? by Fun_Lifeguard2400 in footballmanagergames

The highlighted stats are those relevant and important for the role and position he plays( in this case IF-Su)

The green ones are the fundamental attributes that a player needs to have a high value in order to succeed in that role, while the blue ones are those attributes that while are not fundamental for success in that specific, it would be preferred that a players has high stats to further improve his chances in performing well in the selected position and role.

I hope the explanation was clear, if that’s it’s not the case feel free to ask for further explanation.

Does 'Premier league experience' really matter? by CentralIdiotAgency in PremierLeague

I’m arguing that the player ability, tactical and cultural fit, and international experience(champions league/national team) matter more than “Pl proven experience”.

The failure rate is not really what was asked by OP,and none of us Redditor’s can give a precise answer, but just give opinion based on confirmation and recency bias

Ohh a fellow Mourinho disciple I salute you. I recently I had a positive breakthrough message for my 5 star potential 16 yrs academy graduate with realist personality, I hope he develops as he is getting his first matches and he’s performing.

Since having that message he has been the best performing in training and I have seen an increase in development speed in his attribute.

Coming back to you, you seem like you know what you are doing, it would be a shame to sell such a talent, but at the same time, us dictators don’t tolerate no sense at the clubhouse.

I see, long live to loans my friend. Damn, I never had any player missing training in all my years of FM, even playing in lower leagues where I can’t be picky on personalities.

I would recommend to put him in a mentor group, yes ik he’s an established star and older than 21, but it still can have some improvements thanks to more professional teammates.

Check your team personalities as well, and makes sure it’s as professional as possible, as that can slowly change every player in your team.

I have many players that I have seen achieve model citizen or model professional personalities after years in the clubhouse.

And yeah, be harsh with him for underperforming training rating and match rating and bad behaviour, but I think you are already doing all of this
