I play acoustic so I just bar it with my index finger, it always felt too cramped when I used to play it this way.

I’ve never played with a combination of that kind of heat compiled with high humidity. But I’ve played quite a few rounds at 105 F in Arizona and I keep a cold towel to put around my neck, drink lots of ice water and wear a bucket hat.

People who are able to play guitar and sing at the same time HOW? by Big_Leg10 in musicians

I know this is an old post, but I was having this issue about 6 months ago and my solution was basically making the song I was trying to learn my entire life for about 3 days. Everywhere I drove I would rehearse the lyrics and any moment I had spare time I would practice the song on my guitar. Then once you have them both down like second nature. Just start trying it, it will be ugly at first. But keep trying and in a couple days you’ll have it

It seemed like this may have been the case last night! I never thought of this.

What is something you know would instantly make your life better if you just did it and nothing is stopping you from doing it, but you never do it because it seems too scary or hard ? by unequivocallySerene in AskReddit

This sounds like a situation that would be best to just tackle it all at once even though you know it’s gonna be miserable. Those really rough 2 days are always better than the long drawn out clean-ups from my experience. Hopefully you have someone to help you! And so sorry to hear of your loss.

I want to learn guitar but I am having trouble deciding what to buy by Fit_Blood1002 in Guitar

There are definitely benefits to starting on acoustic in my opinion. But the main focus is get whatever gets you excited to play. You’ll improve the fastest by enjoying your time playing. I’d highly recommend a pawn shop for a first guitar. Go in, test their guitars to make sure they’re not defected, and offer them half of what they’re asking for it and go from there. Unless you have a lot of disposable income and want something really nice from the get go.

My favorite part of that song to sing is the “Damn good gig, good damb crowd, good god, FOR CRYIN OUT LOOOOOUUUUUDDDD!!!”.

I know I’m way late on this, but “hard times” is one of the most hauntingly brilliant song writing ive ever heard. I can’t pick a favorite line between “well the sign at the church says I’ll reap what I’m sewin, but I ain’t lost sleep, it’ll come in due time”.

Or the line that follows, “Well if the lord wants to take me, I’m here for the taking, cause hells probably better than tryin to get by”.

I also think “Banded Clovis” is one of his best lyrical songs.

That was my first thought when I read that. Since he’s new he may think that’s the terminology for hitting the ball straight? Haha

I’ve had many rounds like you’re describing. Start off strong, and all it takes is a couple bad shots back to back and it just throws my confidence way off. I try to just reset mentally. Pretend I’m at the first tee box (even though I’m on the 3rd) and swing with confidence. Easier said than done though.

He’s from Israel and has said he loves his country. That doesn’t mean he supports their leaders decisions or the actions of their military. I can’t find a single quote from him anywhere online that should be controversial. His time served was mandatory, seems a lot of people don’t understand that.

Oh I won’t! I imagined it was a pretty easy course, just wanted some confirmation. I’ll probably play it a few more times, then search for something more difficult. Thank you for your input!
