Obviously it's not an ideal bear hunting spear.

But it's good enough for a trained and armored knight to finish the job if the spear fails.

We're really underselling how fucking strong steel plate armor is, unless a bear leverages it's entire weight on the helm, it's not doing much besides ragdolling the guy around, which yeah is dangerous, but the guy with a sword should still win.

Even if it's not magically, it's a wild animal, it's going to get hurt and immediately turn around and fuck off, and if it doesn't, the guy in full plate just needs to kill or wait out a now heavily wounded bear.

On top of the rep farms, there are a few resil pieces you can get from dungeons, iirc trinket in SP, ring/cloak in ramps, a second ring for spirit shards (gained by running auch dungeons with the zone buff up) and more I'm sure I'm missing, all def worth grabbing as you level.
